Its not an official RTR unless they install everything themselves (including the floormats?!?!)

BBR: Well we don't have any floor mats in the shop today. It's gonna be a week or so wait.

Customer: Can't you install everything else and mail me the mats later?

BBR: No, we have to install everything ourselves or it won't be a certified rtr.

Customer: I dont want the rtr package anymore. Can I have my money back?

BBR: we will give you store credit, seeing as how we already spent your money on hookers and blow

They must think their customer base is really stupid. Well, there's a lot of stupid people out there and maybe a lot of their customers are stupid but you can't just start assuming they ALL are stupid and begin treating them all like they are stupid. This is far beyond a simple misunderstanding, this is the accepted operating practice for a company that has so much business that they don't care about the stupid customers.

This is actually a common business practice. As proof just turn on the tv or radio and wait for the next screaming, obnoxious car ad. Lots of companies make lots of money by acknowledging that their customer base is stupid, and treating them accordingly. I personally go out of my way to avoid supporting car dealers with screaming car ads.

Not sure on those companies, but typical whipple markup is 10% on the new 11+

I really think liz was just making up numbers...

Oh trust me, I know she was. I even put together a little mathematical scenario that showed them coming out a few hundred dollars on top for taking back the kit in exchange for a PC kit BRAND NEW. The margins I used in that scenario were a conservative 6% on the PC and 10% on the Hellion (as they are a main distributor). They of course refused.

I have to add one last thing. I understand that American Muscle and CJ Pony parts don't carry everything. But both these places have great customer sevice, free shipping and because they are in PA you pay no sales tax, that's a butt load of savings. I'm just say'n

If this business at BBR ever fails(which I do not wish ill on anyone) these guys CERTAINLY have a future in politics.

Screw the people and act like it never happened. Ignore the fact and it will go away.

These guys have it down to an art just like the "leaders" of this country. Wow....banking on the fact that peoples attention span and memory is very short.....or stupid, whatever shoe fits ya.

Here! Have a cup on me!!

I really like Steve. It's hard for me to bash him. I'll call him out on things he says if I disagree with him, but I won't hold him personally responsible for the outcome of this whole load of shit.

There's ONE person responsible for how BBR treats their customers. That one person sets the standard as the leader of the company. Steve is just doing what he is told to do. Just like any of us would who are interested in keeping our job so we can survive.

Ultimately, Chris is responsible for this. His total lack of personal attention in this thread tells me all I need to know about BBR. I will not do business with them again unless Chris turns their shitty customer service around.

I completely forgot about this. I didn't know that emails cost $12.52 to send:

I tried emailing, and I should have gone after it harder because of the principle, but I can't go after these things when I have more important phone calls to make during the day. It will be the last payment they get from me if nothing changes. I just don't like the unethical practices they do on drop-shipping, and what I'm hearing from everyone else. I trust many individuals on this forum... word of mouth reputation is huge when it comes to speed shops, this will most likely hurt a large amount of their customer pool.

I've seen that before but typically the vendor just knocks the shipping price off or refunds the shipping price. It's built into their system, probably shipping costs on smallest item.

I was charged for shipping on a tune before, but it was refunded. BBR charged me twice for a tune once before. They didn't seem to believe me until I sent them a copy of my statement showing both charges. They actually sent me a check and I received it in 2 days. The customer service must have been better back in late 2010.

It's not just one person that is to blame...But Steve in my eyes kinda got the ball rolling on the whole BBR going to shit train when he started talking shit about on3 and how they can't make power blah blah blah they are shitty poor fitment, poor design...etc Just because he sales hellion and makes money from hellion...And in reality it shows just how retarded he really is seeing how the on3 kit is based on the hellion kit...SO in return he is saying the hellion is a terrpble design lol that what got me started on BBR... Then it just got worse with steve doing the same thing over talking shit about somethign he has no clue about then disappearing and never coming back....Like I said you can''t blame one person but I know Steve had alot to do with where BBR is now...

Then blame Steve for talking shit. But when it comes to a small company like BBR, the senior man making the decisions is the one to place the blame on. We aren't talking about Steve talking stupid shit about on3 turbos vs. Hellion. We are talking about the customer service of a company. Since BBR is so small an operation, the head customer service rep is the owner, Chris.

I seriously doubt that Steve made any of the decisions in this whole process. He was likely just parroting what he was told by the owner. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But I know a little something about leadership and small businesses.

I don't know. Hard to say.

They had a horrible rep years ago that they have overshadowed over the last couple years.

Remember the BBR cam debacle way back when. They've gone back and forth over the years.

They've made up for short clings before, do they know they can do it again.

Maybe it'll take some time, but it's a damn shame. Hope it works out for everyone in the end.

Reason #53 sure looks to apply, as long as you meet other requirements like time since the purchase and such.
