Scott I would just keep calling the hotline and make sure a rep comes out
I would fight the twistie DS BS...
I don't understand PP bolts backing out/clutch grenading causing a DS to twist like that. There seems more is going on with the drive train IMO. I could maybe understand if it were seriously beat on, but 900 miles and it's crushed? That's straight up bull shit. Is it the dealer making the call here or is Ford saying warranty is denied? Has Ford sent an engineer to look or are they just taking the word of the dealer? I'd fight it and make sure a Ford rep looks at it first hand. I don't see how they can prove "abuse" without other evidence besides the DS.
Damn, I hate to read shit like this. I hope you get better news and it's in your favor.

Didn't Tom have his drive shaft snap on him? It sucks to hear that they won't replace it under warranty. Hope they get it fixed for you, and you are up and running soon.
That sucks. Did they put a tin foil DS in that thing or do you just have that much POWA?
Not sure, which Tom are you refering to?
That's what I told them. I'm gonna try another dealership I do a lot of business with more local to me to see if they will help out if not then ford and there warranty program can eat shit for all I care because this is pathetic.Tell them to go fuck themselves... If 380+/- rwhp and 350 rwtq +/- can twist a driveshaft that is a pretty pathetic and weak driveshaft.
VTXFrank. Found the link, he twisted his D/S like a pretzel.

Thanks for the link, I'll check that out
I'm sure it will work out when you get ahold of the customer care rep.
When you talk to someone from Ford and not the dealer I would explain that the dealer is refusing to find the root cause and just simply found a broken part and blaming you. I'm sure you know, driveshafts don't just twist up on their own. I would hate to read that you found something trashed in the transmission that should be warrantied if you end up fixing it yourself. I've seen some guys cut crazy good short times with the stock driveshaft, I watched Seer pull a 1.45 and 1.49 without breaking anything.
I think this is one of those rare times where, if it were my vehicle, it would be parked in a lot across from the dealership with a sign on it informing people that "XXXX Dealership does not take care of their customers."
Not necessarily recommending that, but lets just say it provides results quite quickly.![]()
I would complain to the point of getting a lawyer. I would pound the crap out of them if they denied such! That stealership SUCKS!!!!!
Honesty this really is a bunch of bullshit because their saying he cause the driveshaft to twist... Do you think that a mt-82 could even hold enough power to twist a driveshaft without breaking? No, I don't think so.. Idk how they could justify saying its his fault for the driveshaft breaking. Something else had to mechanically fail first. Then the force of whatever broke caused this to happen.
