lol Take a trip to Europe...everyone and their brother has wheel styles similar to AMR/TSW/RTR. Even normal beater cars over here have that style. It seems every Euroracer, or wannabee, drives a car with the same Eruopean look...very similar to those mentioned above.

What you hardly ever see here are bullitts...The only ones I ever see are on US cars and usually they are Mustangs...which are few and far between around here.

Thus, I'm putting my old bullitts on my 2012 just because they are different...around here at least.

Yeah I think it will look GOOD but I don't think it will look amazing or anything like your car does, simply because I am not able/willing to lower my car all that much, and that's when 18's look best on these cars IMO...when they are lowered 1.7 inches or more. With my Eibach prokit I won't achieve such a level of visual satisfaction but again, I think it will still look good, and I love the look of the brushed titanium F14's.

My thought...contrary to what most are running in this thread is that the tire sizes I have picked are extremely close to my OEM 245 45 19 = 27.7" tire height.
I am running a simple set of Eibach sport springs. This is my wifes car and I dont want her to have to be "extra" careful when shes driving.

Does anybody see a "problem" here? Thanks all!

275/40 is less taller than 275/45. in relevance to the width number (275) the higher the profile number the taller the tire.

use the tire size calc and see what tire will work as close as you can get it from factory tire height

Really depends on how much sidewall you want, both in terms of looks, ride and handling as well as consideration to rubbing and rim protection.

Some prefer a lower-profile look, some prefer medium and some want a taller sidewall and just to fill the gap as much as possible.

More sidewall height= more traction in the rear and more cushioning and rim protection, but less crisp handling and it also could possibly cause rubbing depending on how much you are lowered.

Me I went somwhere in between with 285/40's on all 4..i think that size tire looks perfect on 18x10's and they are almost the same height as my stock 235/50/18's. Matching the height wasn't a big deal though because I can simpyl adjust my speedo with my handheld tuner. Another consideration too is its effect on gearing (in the rear). Also, you should try and match the front and rear in sidewall height as closely as possible for looks...at least in my opinion.

Many people forget about the weight of tires, even if they've considered it when it comes to their wheels. 275/45 will obviously weigh more then a 275/40 etc etc. Also they can vary from one specific tire to the next as much as 5lbs in the SAME SIZE. For example Conti Exteme Contact DW's in 275/40 weighs 26lbs while many others in the same size weigh 31 lbs. That's a BIG difference in rotational mass, and it's mass thats further from the hub to which I believe makes it worse. Some people could spend a lot of money for light weight wheels and then completely offset the benefit with heavy tires. Wheel/Tire weight really does have a significant impact on performance in all areas, as well as the general feel of the car.

Pfffsch...tell me about it! I run a 345 25 20 on a 20" X 13.5" rin on my Z and it weighs a ton. That is a major reason I went with a 18" set up with the wifes 5.0. I didnt want to run a big heavy wheel and tire.
