I didnt think to snap pics before i slid the case back together, i will pull it apart again later.

It might make a good shop table

Im curious. Why not rebuild it with stock gears but before you do have the gears cryotreated. Sounds like a bad casting to me, the fact the syncros held up, and the fork is fine gives some indication of a casting flaw. Usually gears strip like that only after the fork and syncros got mangled and the gear gets stuck. All it takes is one tooth having a flaw, and then its a cascading effect.

In any case, its a 5 speed now. LOL. Good luck. How much power if you dont mind me asking? If power is not your thing. How about weight and 1/4mile times?

Buy a new gear, cryo treat that shit and throw it back in!

I already bought a stock replacement, can someone tell me where to get the gears?
I would love to rebuild it stronger.

I ran 7.86 in the 1/8 with 91 oct canned tune, exhaust, 275/60/15 drag radials 1.89 60ft.
I added a jlt, and rear suspension (lca, relos, uca, welded axle tubes) then it broke.

A little jb weld and that thing will be as good as new. :roflmao:

Glad to hear the old MT is working for you .... try not to destroy third on that one too ....:look:
