Alrighty 2005 mustang gt, factory shaker 500 and factory speakers(so far). Only Mod is an FM transmitter for my ipod. I have this loud high pitch chime coming from my passenger door speaker/tweeter combo. Speaker is not working and this high pitch noise which is constant is coming from the tweeter portion of this assembly. I do the self test on the headunit by holding down preset 3 and 6 together for a second and let it go through its self test which all speakers happen to pass even though there is no sound coming from the right front speaker. Subwoofer in that door does indeed work. Now here is whats kicking my butt, the same high pitch chime is also present when the vehicle is off and key is out of the ignition and doors open etc, it dont matter if car is on or fully off its still there. So I go out and buy a pair of 6x8 alpine speakers and put them in and now the noise from the right front is gone but the speaker still does not play music or anything. All other speakers are working fine. Has anybody seen anything like that? Is there something im missing or does my headunit have like a bad channel in it or something? im lost and need some input on this. thanks!

That is weird.

All the small speakers are ran off the radio. Might wanna check the connections at the radio.

Have you pulled out the radio or messed with anything back there recently?
