Boss production number began at number 1200. This is Boss #1454.
This Boss 9 is the real deal. The car is unmolested and documented (original factory invoice, window sticker + more). Vehicle was originally built February 19, 1969 at the Dearborn Michigan plant. Good Lord I would love to own that car. There isn't a single thing I'd touch on it besides the ignition switch! I'd keep that baby all original and show her every chance I got.

Alas, the asking price is so far out of my price range, it's not even funny. But she should see a buyer soon. Not many cars around that are that clean and original.

He should put it in a respected auction (not BJ). Awesome cars.

Thanks for the comments guy. It haS been a great car to grow up around.

We would but at the moment there is no hard pressure to sell immediately, but if the time comes we may take it.

My Father recently sold a 1931 Cord L29 at Amelia Island through RM Auctions (the most respected auction house) and he was able to negotiate a lower selling fee because the car was sure to generate big activity. And it did. It was expected to bring $260-270K and the gavel fell at $310K.

A nice BOSS 429 at the right auction could pull big money.

Best of luck.

I'll give you $4919.76 for it and no more. I'm not paying more than sticker. No way. Lol

That is a beautiful car good luck finding a good home for it.

Plus it's USED!!! According to my 8 year old son, cars are supposed to get cheaper as they get older.... would be surprised if a 40 year old car is worth anything anymore....

Wow what an awesome dream car... my favorite year and a Boss 429 at that!!

Thanks again for the complements fellas. I do hate that this car is going to be sold, but it will hopefully go to a new loving owner.

I do have a video of a walk around somewhere, I'll try and put it up on here.

I actually know someone who enjoys dropping this kind of coin on fords (mostly mustangs). I'll send it his way.

Absolutely gorgeous. And one of my dream cars.

Let me hock the house, sell the kids on the black market, and kill my wife to collect the life insurance. Then we'll talk.

As far as I know that the car was purchased a while back I think at an auction. It has been taken care of very well, being maintained mechanically and driven every now and again. The car does have the original engine. Odometer shows 34,xxx. I don't believe it has been repainted as I just did had the car in the air, for an oil and filter change, and inspected every inch of it. I'll double check on that. For the time we have had the car it has not had the engine torn apart, but normal maintenance and some troubleshooting when it has been sitting through the winter untouched.

Car is incredibly lovable and does show normal wear for a vehicle that is over 40 years old. It would be a great candidate for a full 100% cataloged restoration, but I personally enjoy its condition it is in. You can drive it and not worry about it being perfect while it is still an incredibly sought after true muscle car.
