BBR posted this on their fb and I haven't seen anything about it yet. Just curious if anyone has done any testing with it and how it compares to the Boss Manifold. BBR said the manifold has longer runners which theoretically means more torque.

Looks pricey compared to the boss intake. Im sure someone will do a comparison. Based on the boss intake being deisgned for autocross and the cobrajet being a drag car, I would imagine the boss has a better power band/ less losses down low and the cobrajet version is geared toward top end more.

It's advertised as not having any torque losses, check it out on fordracingpartsdirect.com, I just made a thread about this

Didn't say there would be, but highly doubt there wont be. Plenum and runner length/design is give and take. Says it designed to rev to 7800rpms basicly but then again tivct can be made to pick up some slack down low, hence custom calibration required and im sure Ford spent alot of time deigning this and custom tuning it on the cobrajet for optimal gains thoughout.

No one has done anything with it because it isn't available. BBR is making shit up as usual, they haven't had one. I ordered one from Tousley a couple of weeks ago, projected availability is mid September.

Price is interesting as everyone I have seen other than Tousley or Tasca has it listed at $995. Seriously question their claim of no loss in low end torque. Doesn't say it in that add above but Lethal's add does on SVTP.

Minor clarification, the Boss intake is designed for road racing on road courses where RPM is usable and being lower in the powerband is less likely. Autocross is more about mid, and in some cases low end torque to get you out of slow and tight corners. I rarely see 5500+ RPM in my 09 on an autocross course but tons of time spent in the 3500-4500 RPM range. Autocross also takes place in parking lots or any large open slab of concrete, road racing happens on permanent road courses.

You'll definitely need some recalibration to take full advantage of this. Probably need a TiVCT profile similar to the cobra jet, which is most likely not conducive to daily driving.

I assume they mean the intake did not loose torque on the CJ motor. Which has several different things over the Coyote and Roadrunner engines. Including larger bore and compression. Those things can help with torque production. So this intake might not do the same thing on a Coyote. I am interested to see results though.

Hopefully everybody buys these and sells their boss intakes cheap :)

I'm limited in the class I'm going to be running to a 90mm TB, which if that goes by surface area the stock gt500 twin 60 TB on this intake would still fit in. Curious how these manifolds take boost.

Interesting. I look forward for the testing results along with dyno sheets of this intake against the Boss one on a same car.

Just verified with my Ford Racing Supplier that the expected date is 9-13. Should possibly be a few stragglers before that but not many!
