Me? I ran an 8.47 with Traction Control on, LOL.
It was my first time at a track, my reaction time sucked and my tires spun a lot.

I didn't run an 8.4 til I had a blower. That's great man. You'll get that time down in no time. Those fucking 5.0's will scoot man.

Getting enough heat your DR's is important, along with getting a feel on how much to squeeze the pedal on launch. You don't want to exactly stab it, but squeeze it hard enough to make the tires bite. It takes some practice to get the feel for it.
