Good to see it up and running bro! Cant wait to see a couple vids. Let me know how that 76mm feels when you finally get in it,thinking of getting a Comp 76 from Jeremy.
I want to go turbo. Can't wait to see videos.
I know i need to figure this thing out first but i can't help to think about my next move. I have the upgraded 3.73 gears in my car, which makes fur great acceleration, but turbos like taller gears, so what do you guys think about some 3.31 gears?
Blow through, and that's what GMS provides with the kit, the SCT/ GMS BA2800, when i bought the kit, i read that some ppl were having problems with the maf readings bcs of "noise". So i bought a ba5k just I'm case from a forum member. Back then I didn't know one was the slot style and the old one is a lightning style maf, i thought i was going to just bolt it in. I was expecting to get some readings at least with the old maf, Eric Brooks mentioned that tuned these kits before andadvised me to just leave it all as is and if I had problems then move it. So if the ba2800 doesn't work, I'll just get a vmp slot style maf tube, cut part of my cold side and replace it with the ba5k.
I would just go ahead and do the conversion back to the slot style maf its a superior maf. There's a reason this kit is isn't very popular for the 3v. Good luck with it! Hopefuly you get these last details ironed out soon and get the car up and running!
The previous owner had a 18# springs in the wastegate, so it seems like he was running serious hp with the cats. I may delete/gut them later, I wanted to see how the car ran with them on first, since you can't un-gut them, lol.
Just moved it around my yard to turn it around, and just revving it to about 3k rpm and it goes from 25vac to 5 vac, but doesn't build boost, bov doesn't sound off, this is not with the car under load. Is this normal? Is raining so I can't drive it right now, the front end is exposed. I still have the "high flow" cats in place, could that be the problem? Also, after the car warmed up, i checked the compressor blades and they spin freely, but there's a little bit of shaft play, doesn't touch the housing, it's very little but it's there. Any thoughts?

Alright guys, just made my first drive around town and put about 50 miles on it, this is still my first drive tune. Other than the exhaust fume smell, its awesome! I'm not sure if I said this already but i had 91 octane gas in my car before the install (gas station was out of 93, no choice but to get 91). So before my wot pull/log, I need to burn this half tank of fuel, then get some fresh 93 in it and go on to the next log. You can get into the has very easy and drive it like it was n/a, or get on the gas a but more and it just squats and goes. I'll post a vid of it soon!

I would think the fumes are stemming from the raw fuel that was in the pipes and soaked into everything - once you make a few Bonzi runs at WOT - you will burn off that stuff....i hope![]()
Thanks Mike! Just went grocery shopping, put some fresh 93 in her and went boosting, all the way to 4psi, lol. Not even at wot either. Can't wait to make my wot 8# run. See ya Saturday!
Man that's great man to finally see this going. Gotta love those first pulls with boost.
Ok, thanks JR, as far as the gap on the plugs, i set them at .32, i removed one of the springs in the wg, so I'm only running the 6# spring with a boost controller set wide open right now.
Yes sir! My wife loves it, so I'm already trying to talk to her about a forged 302...
Which boost Controller are you using? and im jealous of your progress!!
