Today my wife drove home a brand new 2013 Mustang GT with automatic transmission and the tech pack. Same color (DIB) and everything. It's a basic GT with package 301A and auto transmission.

The wife just wouldn't drive the manual and I felt a bit selfish about getting a manual in the first place. I've often mentioned she has diabetic neuropathy and has feet and leg problems and she told me she would be OK driving the manual, but we never really got around to her driving this car. I want a system where either one of us can drive either one of our two cars, and this wasn't what I wanted.

Somebody will be getting a car with around 4300 miles and a nice new MGW shifter and the other mods I put on it. No doubt I had to explain to the salesman where the line lock switch was and how it worked. It wouldn't be very funny for some person to buy the car and accidentally activate the line lock and not be able to move the car in traffic.

Two good things came of this, she was as happy as should could be driving the car home and secondly, I don't have to read any more shit about the MT-82 Getrag transmission. I read so much crap about the MT82 I could just about barf, but getting rid of the manual was secondary to her getting into an auto.

Sounds like a good deal. "Happy wife happy life". Where about are you located. What you traded in is exactly what I'm looking for.

Were your only mods the line lock, and shifter? Which line lock did you have and how did you like it.

Also I think you made the right choice. You too will likely enjoy the auto...

I had a line lock, lower control arms, MGW shifter, and FRPP package with tuner, air and oil filter, and GT 500 mufflers. I absolutely loved the line lock and it worked greatly. Here is the url for the one I bought.

we need pics!!!

No hurry for pics. I traded 2013 DIB manual for 2013 DIB auto. Sitting in the garage, there's no difference.

I traded my 2012 in to the same dealer when the 2013s came out, and if you're smart they are easy to deal with...

I got 27,000 for my 2012 base gt in mid July. 5,800 miles on it. I had installed new take off leather from e bay lol... Looked stock and only cost me 300.... I had paid 26,980 in feb for it brand new lol

I bought the auto so my wife could drive the Mustang too. She's driven it twice in 19 months. I'm thinking about a Boss and not worrying about her driving it. She doesn't like the visibility from inside the Mustang. I guess she's too use to her Expedition.

She took her first drive in the car today, outside of driving it home from the dealer. I jokingly asked her if she got a 'kill', she said no, but she floored it and really liked it.
