Today my wife drove home a brand new 2013 Mustang GT with automatic transmission and the tech pack. Same color (DIB) and everything. It's a basic GT with package 301A and auto transmission.
The wife just wouldn't drive the manual and I felt a bit selfish about getting a manual in the first place. I've often mentioned she has diabetic neuropathy and has feet and leg problems and she told me she would be OK driving the manual, but we never really got around to her driving this car. I want a system where either one of us can drive either one of our two cars, and this wasn't what I wanted.
Somebody will be getting a car with around 4300 miles and a nice new MGW shifter and the other mods I put on it. No doubt I had to explain to the salesman where the line lock switch was and how it worked. It wouldn't be very funny for some person to buy the car and accidentally activate the line lock and not be able to move the car in traffic.
Two good things came of this, she was as happy as should could be driving the car home and secondly, I don't have to read any more shit about the MT-82 Getrag transmission. I read so much crap about the MT82 I could just about barf, but getting rid of the manual was secondary to her getting into an auto.
