.
I installed a GT500 upper grille which removes the stock fog lights. I bought a Raxiom CS style fog light kit for my 13 GT so I could get some fog lights back without doing any custom fabrication.

I am extremely disappointed. The bulbs are so dull and brown that you would think the battery is one key turn away from being completely dead. The fit is perfect and during the day they look awesome, but I really wanted them for functional nighttime use.

Any suggestions on how to fix it? My extensions are soldered and there is 13.5 volts on the leads while the lights are lit.

Has anyone used these lights? Has anyone had the same experience with these?

I have the oem kit from Ford, and while not bright, they do in fact light up well at night. im inclined to replace the bulbs with HID bulbs , since I first installed LED's and was disappointed with one bulb burning out within 2 days so I returned and got refund.
Here is what mine looks like lit up

I wish mine were that bright. In daylight, you almost can't tel they are on when you are looking at the bulb.

What kit did you get? Those look pretty good.

this is 1 of the main reasons why I did not buy that kit because it's not HID and won't will not match that head lights

Mine are factory OEM, purchased the complete kit for 115.00 from

http://www.levittownfordsupercenter.com/ford-mustang-lamp-2013-p-1216.html

I saw that site. I was really questioning if they were legit or not. Full kit at my local dealer was $350 and the aftermarket sets were $250.

I might have to order those.

Tonight I tried running wires direct from the battery to the light and there was no improvement. I tried using a 24v jump box too. That didn't even help.

I saw starkey and other vendors are insane with their pricing compared to this place. I actually drive at night with just the parking lights and foglights alone sometimes, while they dont look as white, they do light up plenty. These have to be spliced into the harness from the grille mounted foglights.

FYI the CS style fogs are a mini projector. Highly sought after by retrofitters because they take HID conversions well. I did mine with a 6k HID, made a huge difference. You might also have to adjust the fogs up some as well.
