If I could do it over I would have gone for the RST right off the bat. If I had, I probably would not have gotten so frustrated with my transmission and ended up spending over $5K upgrading to the T56. The other issue I had with the extremely low disengagement point was that the gears didn't seem to disengage far enough and I had a slight gear clash on every single shift. No big deal on the street but it made drag racing very frustrating. I ended up having to drive my car like I hated it, forcing the transmission on every shift instead of having it simply drop into gear.
This might not be a big deal for a garage queen but I enjoy driving my car a lot. The Exedy made driving a lot less enjoyable.
