Has anyone ran across a lightened cobra style pinion yoke or something lightweight for an 8.8? Seems to me somebody would have something available.
If that's aluminum yes, but it's steel no. In that picture you can see how much un-needed metal is on the pinion flange yoke. I would thing someone would have lightened a stocker up by now. I will modify one myself if I cant find anything. I am a little concerned if I modify one it may not be balanced.
Strange and Moser both make one. Denny's driveshafts also sells them.

That one from Denny's (where I bought my parts) will just go strait to the U joint on the DS. It just does away with the pc I posted in the pic.Problem with any of those, is they bolt to the Pinion however what about the Driveshaft side?

I have a 1 piece spydershaft. So unless I get another driveshaft I am stuck using the cobra flange.
Yoiu can get the bastard 1330 to 1350 u joint from Dennys also.
So are you saying I can replace the pinion yoke with the strange piece, remove the yoke from the DS and the driveshaft will be the correct length?
