Lightweight cobra pinion yoke

Has anyone ran across a lightened cobra style pinion yoke or something lightweight for an 8.8? Seems to me somebody would have something available.

If that's aluminum yes, but it's steel no. In that picture you can see how much un-needed metal is on the pinion flange yoke. I would thing someone would have lightened a stocker up by now. I will modify one myself if I cant find anything. I am a little concerned if I modify one it may not be balanced.

So are you saying I can replace the pinion yoke with the strange piece, remove the yoke from the DS and the driveshaft will be the correct length?

No, just that they have the u joints to do it. If I was you I would call Denny's tomorrow and they should have the answers you need.

Do you know if your DS has a 1330 or 1350 u joint?
