Curious to see how that amp works
I have the Shelby Kicker subs and 4 Infinity's waiting to be installed after my turbo is done.

I have the doors 6x8 and door subs done. Dont think I am going to tackle the rears. Just need to get the trunk sub now.

Got the amp installed this afternoon.

The highs sound so much better....but the door subs are still an issue. Now there is a lot of mid bass and vocals missing due to the low power on the subs.

Decided I am going to swap out the kicker 4ohm subs for dual 1ohm subs. This will put the power back up to OEM rating, and should bring back my missing mid bass and vocals.

You figured Kicker would have seen this with the door subs and done it right.....especially for $150.

Previous owner installed Infinity Kappa's on my car all the way around and it sounds amazing. I just have the standard 4 speaker set up though. Im very pleased with the way it sounds!

It says "woofers" and has a picture of two. I got two for less than $150 shipped, I forget the site though.

I agree...and that Kicker and Shelby put this together. They had to know the Kicker subs would only get 1/4 of the power the OEM subs get.

They should have sold a replacement amp for the OEM door sub amp.

Well crap I have not installed mine yet
But Im not liking what Im reading

I understand that the factory sub had 2 voice coils
The Shelby only has one correct.
And that one is 4 ohm coil? and the factory load is a 2 ohm load on the amp
Maybe I need to go ohm these out tomorrow nite

OEM ohm load is 1.2ohm per coil. But double check yours to make sure.

The Shelby Kickers are 4ohm single voice coil.

So say that the OEM amp with the OEM subs puts out 100 watts (example). When you replace with the Shelby Kickers you know raise the ohm to 4ohm and the power would drop to 25 watts.

Obviously you have not read anything in this thread...good luck

??????

I've been in since the beginning of this thread (I posted on page 1). Perhaps I've misunderstood. In your first post you mentioned a difference in load between OEM and the Shelby upgrade. My understanding in your post about your new subs is that they resolve that issue.

Correct...maybe I took as you were going to go the Shelby kicker route.

I apologize.
