Yes, they can be used for a shift light. It's a three step process: (1) set the annunciator to "on"; (2) tell the gauge you want "rpm" as the trigger; and (3) set the rpm.

Once you learn the steps, it's easy to do. Unfortunately, every time you unplug the Interceptor from the OBD port (to load a new tune, for example), the annunciator gets turned off, and you have to go in and tell it to turn on.

Thanks! Worth giving it a try.

Honestly... your better off getting a shift light; the annunciator on the interceptor isn't all that bright.

I had them set, the light was never bright enough for me for it to be useful.

I think it's bight enough, but you've really gotta' be looking for it.

In car video driving into an absolutely blinding setting sun. The lights are fairly bright but small.

I've also found it' can be slow to light at higher rpm's, Currently I've got mine set to 6800 and it's a crap shoot as to whether it'll light on the 1-2, 2-3 shifts since they come so fast ...

It does light on the 3-4 shift since it has more time to catch the rpm reading.

Yeah, and that's exactly what I was worried about...the data refresh not being quick enough. I'll probably be running into the same problem as you. I've got 4.10's and around 540rwhp.
