Rod run was a dissapointment this year. Did anyone else get charged to park? The owner of one of the go cart places tried to charge me 10.00 to park in their lot. I think I only spent 2 -3 hours total

Im not worried about it, if it happens it happens. Im on a completely stock long block. Turbos do put less stress on the motor at a given power. Its making that power only on 9 psi and I am only turning it to 6k Rpm. That is key with the weak rods. High rpm shifting with higher hp is what they dont like. I almost have 6k miles on the kit so far and havent had any major problems. Knock on wood! Btw the car currently has 102,000 miles on it. That should tell you something.

To be honest there really isn't a "safe" number on these 3 valves, the safety is relative to the tune. There have been motors go at numbers as low as 400hp at the wheels and then there have been at least a few cars survive several years at 550hp at the wheels, and then of course you have the "factory freak" that was dyno'd all the way up to 819 at the wheels (link below) with bone stock internals! Of course those were dyno runs where the load is simulated and not actual, but still... That's crazy impressive!
General rule of thumb is stay at or below 10lbs of boost with low timing and a good fat Air/Fuel ratio and you'll be fine. Oh and don't spin it above 6k like its N/A, it probably won't take to much of that lol. Best thing to do is get an N2MB wot box so you can set the global rev limiter at 6k and not worry about it. All the factory limiters (ie traction control and rev limiter) cut fuel instead of spark which is hard on a FI motor, just another thing to consider when making a decision on the wot box:thumbup:

Well, actually been thinking of pulling the plug on my turbo project. This pic restores my faith a bit. Looking good.

John, it goes to the blowoff valve and boost gauge. In this pic you can see where it tees off to the boost gauge and then the other end continues to the blowoff

Awesome, thanks RJ. Might have to get with Greg and Jeremy for those now! LOL

Haha well the only thing I'm gonna change is add the filler neck breather as well. Other than that I have no complaints! And 0% chance of blowby into the intake!

Still have to do the fender wells and a lot lot more! Plan on doing some minor paint to get the RIDS I left before and do the Blacklight, V7 combo. Wipe down the rear suspension parts and some other small stuff.

I just used Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner Plus. Scrubbed with a soft bristled long handle brush. Then I clayed the wheels and added 2 coats of Optiseal to keep them easy to clean for the next few months. Definitely worth the extra little work.
