What do you think it's worth? Any interest?

So recently I had my coyote loose pressure in the number 8 cylinder. Car still runs and idles normal but has been shut down since I discovered the issue. There is no smoke coming out of my exhaust either. I haven't taken it apart and I am contemplating getting a aluminator. What do u guys think my motor is worth in its current state and do u think there would be any interest? I have a boss rotating assembly on the way and TSS oil pump gears as well but I'd rather get an aluminator.

Maybe core value. If you decide to buy one elsewhere and the block is still good it could save you some cash. Need to check to see if the block is good first.

You have value in the block, rods, crank, and good pistons. The heads are also worth money. All you need are rods, pistons, bearings, rings, and boss valve springs to have an aluminator. Maybe $2500 and your labor.

What's an aluminator cost, $6500? You will only save yourself motor assembly labor by buying the aluminator. Even if you are working slow it won't take more than a day to assemble a motor. Let's say you take a whole weekend, is that weekend worth $4000 - whatever you get from selling the good parts?

What would you price the parts at if they are good? Show that the bores are still good and I think there would be interest if the price was right.

Don't get me wrong. Someone will buy the block/crank so long as they are good. All the other stuff I doubt anyone will value it. But you gotta weigh the options. Do you have the tools/knowledge to build the engine? How long will a machine shop take to go thru it? An aluminator would be ready to go. You wouldn't have to mess with heads/timing all that mess. A New 5.0 block is what $1500? I would shoot for 800-1000 for a used one with the crank especially if its the '13 block. An example is Livernois (not saying to use them) gives you $500 for supplying your own block. I'm sure you can save some doe using your own block and having someone rebuild it. Also is this N/A? If this is the boosted '13 I probably would go with better rods/pistons than the Boss.

My stang is my daily. I would love to do all the work but if it went down, time would be more important and I would have a longblock shipped to my house. Then I would just swap it out.
