Last night I went to the track with the new 3.7 pulley on. I thought I would see around 25 psi. Well I only saw 23 psi on my first pass and the car seemed to bog some in second and third. Then on the next pass It bogged really hard in second so I backed out of the gas and went to the pits. I noticed a small pin hole in the coupler below. After checking the datta log and the fuel was good I thought maybe it was a trans issue, so I decided to make one more pass. It bogged worse then ever, so again I backed out and went to the pits, poped the hood and found this! It was sucked in by the blower. I will make a alum one this week. I guess we are make some boost now!

Yes they are fine. There are little peices of rubber in the blower so I would assume it is in the IC as well.

Also the clamp didnt let go. The coupler was getting sucked shut. That is why after pass two there was the pin hole I saw. I just didnt put two and two together at the time. The more I look at it it looks like it was making contact with the cone on the impeller and for the most part melted.

I went back and looked and I ordered a PVC elbow that is not recomended for S/C setups. I need an alum. one or a good quality silicone. Issue is there is limmited space and it mut be a tight radius to make the turn. Below is a link to the one I had. If anyone knows of an alum. one like it please let me know. I am searching now.

Have you tried www.siliconeintakes.com ? If you can't find it in aluminum then you can always reinforce the silicone with aluminum wherever it will fit. I'd think that would help out a lot.

Problem is the strut tower will not allow for a very large radius and with 4" tube that gets tricky. Hell, the one that was on there was already rubbing the tower.

Crazy. Are you going to pull the head unit and piping to check for rubber bits? I don't imagine rubber in the combustion chamber would be healthy lol.

I already checked the head unit and it is clear. all the pipeing is pretty clean due it being coated with Poldyn P14. The I/C and all the couplers pre I/C all need cleaning though. looks like not much passed the I/C. Now I just have to figue out the best way to clean it.

All I can find is the same shit I already have in this type of coupler. I am going to call Spectre tomorrow since they seem to offer all there other couplers in silicone except this one. I guess the next step would be cast alum. Here is a pic of another opion so everyone gets the idea of what I am looking for. It has to be short on at least one side. Any help would be great!

Yes under the DS head light. And yes it was dirty.

I just hadnt seen one like that on a procharger. Makes sense. I have 6 vents in my hood so it should help with the heat compared to a stock hood.

You need nitrile rubber iv got a guy that can get it he has me one sitting in his cae its a 4 inch 90 and you can't bend that stuff at all

It is a custom setup I made. Next time or one soon at the track I am going to make my first warmup pass and then datalog a pass with the CAI in place and then with the blower open and compare the data via datalogs. 30 min between each should let me know if there is any issue or gain either way.

Why not use a screen when you go to the track? same as what i did with my turbo. It has been there for a while now.
