Been waiting a long time for the 'right' coyote to roll thru my Dealership on trade, and it finally happened. I actually tried to avoid the temptation but 3 days after this car arrived and it finally made it's way to the used car lot, I knew I had to have it.

2012 Mustang GT base - 3100 miles

Current Mods (already on the car)

-CDC Chin Spoiler
-Pony Delete Grill
-Black side markers & emblems
-Black GT500 18x9 wheels (Getting replaced with my old wheels)

Mods transferring over from old car
-Koni Sports
-Steeda UL Springs
-BMR Adj. Panhard Bar
-SCT Tuner

Immediate Mod Plans (parts already ordered/bought)
-Tune from Lethal Performance (can't wait for Dec 20th!)
-Pypebombs
-AM Short Shifter w/ Barton Bracket
-Replace OEM speakers, add Sirius Radio
-GT500 Steering Wheel (Rubber steering wheel, really Ford?)

Day of Delivery (and ironically the spot it still sits since it's snowing here)

Also was planning on getting an intake to pair with the tune, however after doing research, I'm coming across mixed opinions. Some say stock is fine, others say Steeda is worth the coin. Any opinions are welcome. I plan to just rock the above mods (plus intake if I decide to get it) thru next season and then decide from there what direction to take the car.

I'm still in the research phase on this car as far as mods go, so feel free to throw opinions out there, I'm all ears :thumb2:

I would rethink the Pype Bombs. I had them (for a few days) and took them right off! They are loud, but sound terrible. Rasp, drone and zero tonal quality...

Good luck with the car!

I love my Steeda CAI... Definitely made the butt dyno happy. I can't compare to anything but the stock airbox with a k&n panel filter... I feel it was definitely worth the money.

I'm buying them from my buddy that traded in his 2012 a year ago. I heard them on his car, I thought it sounded decent. I'll give them a shot since I'm getting them for cheap and just swap them out if I don't like them once they're on. I loved the way the pypebombs sounded on my 06 up until I did the longtubes, then things got stupid loud lol.

Thank for the opinion!

Congrats on the new ride. These 5.0 cars are a great platform obviously.

If you are looking for the CAI for looks then go for it, if you looking for performance, it's over rated, you can gain as much if not more, with just a 93 octane tune, with the stock air box.

There's just something about the wheels on your old car that I don't think will look good on the new one. Just me tho.

I went with a JLT CF CAI. I love the sound of air getting sucked into the engine when I get on it. I'm not sure there's more than 10hp/4tq to be gained over the stock airbox tho.

I think the wheels will look good when the car is lowered.

Nice find on the '12 with 3k miles.

Congrats Chris! It will look great lowered. If you ever want to try a little different look, I would love to see what my PC'd RTR's would look like on there. :)
