Thanks man, I may have a few questions along the way. I actually think I'll just go and start a similar thread shortly.

Anyway, Im glad she finally seen the roads again!

Looking great. Hopefully you get the tune sorted quickly and get out and enjoy the car. I gotta ask. The rear taillights. Where did you order them from? And the same for the carbon faux gas cap for the deck lid

Id1000's working nicely, had to redo my entire MAF xfer , the 80's I had before really screwed it all up. Few minor things to work out but nothing to keep me from driving the car. Took it for about 20 mile trip and it survived!

Tell me more!!!! I currently have 80LB injectors and I've been running rich; driving me crazy. MPG has been horrible too.

Just got my ID 1000s on Friday, planning to install them tonight and data log some idling.

What kind of changes did you have to do to your tune?
Have you noticed any significant differences (driveability, etc) with the ID 1000s?

Why did you get rid of the 80LBs...?

Oh and last question, regarding your exhaust, so you are running the OEM ROUSH catback?

Car looks awesome, dude!

Any photos from a non potato device? lmao

That split in the downpipe that routes to the rest of the exhaust will be a power killer IMO. Exhaust from a turbocharger spins axially, which means the exhaust gases should be able to spin their way out from the turbine to the tip. That split will disrupt the flow and (I think) choke power output. It might be worthwhile to dyno it with and without the exhaust after the downpipe.

Entire MAF changed, changed ALOT at WOT. Wasn't that bad in the low end but still needed adjustment. WOT I was a full 1.0 leaner than commanded.

So far running great, I have one little issue I need to figure out, it's either going too lean briefly on tip in or on decel. It's very brief right between shifts and not that noticeable , ill do some more logging and try a few things. Lito and Bruce are always a good help in these situations.

Why did you get rid of the 80LBs...?

A lot of work to make them run correctly, wanted to see what the hype was all about with the ID1000, I like them so far.....just wish I never wasted time with the 80's. Now I'm not sure what else is screwed up in the tune from trying to get the 80's to work.

Oh and last question, regarding your exhaust, so you are running the OEM ROUSH catback?

It's the 3" magna pack system, I had to cut and weld the rear muffler section to make it line up with the bumper correctly.

How does she ride? Like those air bags?

Freakin great, very happy with it! Nothing like my old coil over set up....I no longer have to cringe when I see a crack in the road! I'm still in the process of finding the sweet spot for the hard and soft.

It made 660hp @ 16psi on the old set up, similar split ,similar kit. This is a THP kit I wanted to allow more clearance for the stock fan.

To be honest , I'm kinda over the whole power thing anyway. I'm on my forth motor, I know it's fast and right now it rides great, looks great and just a blast to drive. I'm only running it at 10psi now ....I use to run it at 16 all the time. It's been off the road for almost 6 months now so I'm just enjoying being able to drive it!

All my transmission issues are now gone after getting the TR 6060 rebuilt and getting the clutch rebuilt...my clunking rear end is also now gone, guessing it was the busted diff bushing I replaced!

I'm thinking tomorrow it will get an alignment and new windshield tint ( had the windshield replaced while it was down ).

I just installed the ID1000s and ran a startup tune. Wow, what a difference!!!
Looking forward to some nice changes!!

When you say you were leaner by 1.0 from commanded, what does that mean?
If you command 11.8, you are saying you were 12.8 with the ID1000s?
What does that mean? Do the ID1000s require more fuel/pressure to match the delivery of the 80lb injectors?

I totally know what you mean, I wish I would have started with the ID1000s. I feel like a screwed up my motor and wasted a whole year running the 80s. sigh

yes,i command 11.5 at WOT, out of the box with the ID1000 file i was at 12.5 at WOT....this was because of the tuning i did with the 80's, i had to scew my maf xfer to make them work correctly. so with the good injector data in the tune now, it really shows you how much the 80's injector data is crap.

Would it be easier to just start a tune from scratch or is it better or OK to just modify the 80lb tune?

I don't feel too comfortable revising the 80lb tune seeing how much stuff has to be fudged to make things work.

should be fine revising the old tune. its pretty easy to compare tunes to see what is different. ill probably find a old pre-80# tune and compare just to see what i may have changed. cars running great other than a little tip in issue, my a/f just rolling along now stays between 14.4-14.8 for the most part, idles nice and smooth!

on another note, got my alighnment done, front windshield re-tinted and got my a/c charged back up......almost got my list 100% done.

You are able to get the AFRs to range between 14.4 to 14.8!!!??
I didn't even think it was possible to tighten it up that much!! WOW!!

I am so looking forward to some better gas mileage. lol

So you going to sell fenders? Other than some core support stuff the fenders look like the difficult and artisan piece of the puzzle

i want my car to remain unique as long as it can, making molds means the car would be down again after just getting it back up after 6 months....i dont want to deal with the hassle of idiots who buy the fenders and cant install them properly then blame the fender......soon as i were to spend the money to go forward, another larger company than me who could afford to do them cheaper will just take the idea and start mass producing them.

well you already know the hassles we had to deal to make this conversion happen. I foresaw the same problems
