It would be a crying shame to put a tacky, ten year old fad paint job on a badass car.

As lame as this may sound... if you could somehow mimic the true color and depth of "The Wraith" car, I think that would go really well with your wheel choice and the lines of the GT500.

Something like this:

you really want a purple car?

Don't forget he started with MysticChrome. Also, TRUE color of the car is a VERY VERY dark purplish gray color. It's only a slight hue of purple in it. I was speaking in terms of the picture in my post.

Another shot:

Yea, not a fan. I would rock that combo if it were gotta have it green tho with the white wheels...

You got to understand... I'm from birmingham alabama... Purple cars + chrome was pretty damn normal...

I don't care for Mystichrome on any car. It was a fad in 1992 or so. "Chameleon".

I hate wraps and dip also. In pics, sometimes it looks OK < but then you get up close and there are always flaws.

I've seen Lambos here in Atlanta wrapped or dipped or whatever they did to it...matte black or grey - even those looked horrible...Somebody covered up the amazing paint on $600K car.

Honestly I like the 98 version on Mystichrome better than the 03-04 version. The cost to touch up is rediculous since it will almost never match without a full respray.

The 96-98 Mystichrome has more of a rootbeer in it than purple.

I disagree. It's all about the quality of the work.

Mystichrome is a PPG product (Harlequin series). My buddy has a mystichrome termi and I painted the underside of his hood a few years ago. Materials alone were over $500 at the time and that was before most shops here have converted over to waterborne systems. I'm not even sure if that code is available in a waterborne equivalent. It wasn't any more difficult to spray than any other base/clear color - just expensive. If you really want a mystichrome car, his KB mystichrome terminator is for sale.
