Hello all, I'm new to the forum. I've been searching for answers but can't seem to find any. Here is my problem. I'm trying to run a 100 dry shot on my 05 mustang gt. I currently have bama life tunes but they only tune for wet kits or could the wet nitrous tune work? If not.... What kind of adjustments can be made with the sct tuner on a current bama tune to be able to run my dry shot. I have the the cold plugs and a wideband.

Which exact nitrous kit do you have? Is it designed for these cars or a 'universal' kit?

It's hard to spray 'dry' on these cars, since you need extra fuel and with a return-less style fuel system, spraying dry doesn't allow you to add it via the injectors.

Zex....Universal. Will changing the AFR to richer allow it to get plenty of fuel? Any suggestions?

I already have the kit. So buying a new one is out of the question. I'm sure there is got to be a way of running it safely with out blowing up the motor.

Find a tuner willing to do it and sign all the necessary paper work making them not liable when they blow your engine and you're good to go.

If you're looking for safety why did you get a dry kit?

so you're saying there's enough money to do it twice, but not enough to do it right the first time? :thumb:

get the right set up and the right tune, don't try to reinvent the wheel, :2cents:

You don't have to be a d*** drag queen! I'm just looking for help. I'm sure some one out there is running a dry shot safely. I've always had a dry kit on my previous stangs and never had any issues.

Man.... I thought this forum was to help each other out.

, sense of entitlement much?, it a resource for you to use, don't expect to be spoon fed

however, I find it hard to believe you spent much time searching, while these may not all be exactly what you are looking for, they all relate.

Of you have ran dry shots on other stangs, why can't you figure this out?

I don't know anyone running a dry set up on an s197. Although I'm sure they are out there

You could have your tuner command a fat AFR at WOT and be safe, but you'd run like absolute shit when not spraying.

You can't spray through the MAF on these cars like you can with GMs and you can't spike fuel pressure like you can with earlier return style Fords.

I'd also sell the kit and get one that will actually work with the car.

Still researching..... Found some threads on running the dry shot pre maf to trick the ecu to dump more fuel. They say it works but can't go over a 75 shot. Is this possible with our cars?

A dry system is not recommended on these S197.

There is a lot of experience in this forum and they are saying not to use a dry system!!
Previous generation Mustangs are totally different.

Sell your dry system and buy a wet system.
