Do any of you run that combo around town/daily driving? I live in Phoenix, where we don't get much rain, so wet performance isn't an issue, and I am kinda looking at the racestars as the lightweight, year round wheel choice... Looks like I could get wheels and tires for the cost of lightweight (enkei rpf01) rims alone...
Question is, how much do you give up handling wise? I've never ran 15" drag radials, but on the old car (04 mach1) I had 17" drag radials for the street and they were fine, and had 15" et drag slicks and they were not cool for street driving - waaaay too soft and mushy. Question is, where do the 15" drag radials fit? I imagine somewhere in between 17" DRs and 15" slicks, but are they closer to the bias ply slicks and have minivan handling or closer to the 17" DRs (had 315/35/17 nittos).
And just out of curiosity, can those of you who do have them post pics of the 15x8 and 15x10 and list the various tire sizes you run? My car only really has 2 boltons, a 3c torque converter and an offroad x pipe, so probably the smaller wheel will be enough, but I might give up the 3-4 lbs per wheel if the bigger ones look that much better... Esp if it sends the camaro guys crying.
If it matters, it's a non-brembo car.
