Midpipe is 2 3/4 and the OTA pipe was widened to 3"

Seller is sending me reducers. Upset about it but I'm just motivated to get it done. Next week gonna hopefully get exhaust together and take the car on a cruise to our body shop so they can take a look at the holes I want filled.

If that doesn't work, my buddy here has a pair of 3" unmodified 11-14 Magnaflow pipes he's selling.

How the F do you not disclose something like that in a sale ad. That's BS. Hopefully the reducers work out

He disclosed it to me in a PM after the matter and it's whatever now, I got them for a good price shipped.

Still trying to figure out in my head what is causing this malfunction with the blower.

Not sure where to go from here - a blower that appears to be working properly but doesn't function and unsure if a fuel problem is related to that. All I could get out of it was .8psi.

Sounding like a broken record, but it only takes off well gradually and bogs if you floor it in any gear other than 1st.

Sounds like it's starved of fuel. What's the fuel pump situation? Maybe verify proper voltage at the pump.

Asked a buddy of mine, he says his Shelby was doing this after a custom tune, it was the traction control kicking it, the problem went away with the TC off.

Also, he's thinking it might be the belt slipping if not the TC issue?

It's GT500 Pumps and both FPDM's.

If I do a datalog on the car, should it show a problem in the voltage?

I've been turning the TC off every time I drive the car and it shreds the tires nicely, but not how a GT500 5.4 should. I don't think it's a belt slip either since gradually applying the throttle I don't hear anything signifying a S/C triggering on.

Update:

Bit the bullet and bought some Lethal performance OTA pipes since the ones I bought off SVTP were a fucking joke. I'm done playing with reducers and clamps to try and mat 3" to 2.75" pipes.

Did a data log for Lund, but it ended up being too long and I did not have all the correct PID's. I won't be able to get to the shop for over a week since next Tuesday, my day off, my little cousin is in town and I'm taking him for the day.

Lund did bring up a good point though that I could just be experiencing belt slip? I only have a 90mm idler pulley in the stock location and that I could benefit from the upper aux pulley along with a gates belt.

Thoughts?

I do not have much experience with a belt slip and I'm not sure if what I am experiencing is belt slip since I can gradually accelerate and I don't hear the blower really working.

Check your tensioner and see where in the travel range it sits. Most tensioners have a mark on one side and a pointer on the other to indicate the optimal range.

I have zero experience, but logically I am thinking rubber belt could be like tires. Punch it and they'll spin, ease in to the acceleration and they can get traction?

Exactly, but when you progressively accelerate you have steady traction.... my point is even when I accelerate in a slow linear manner, it doesn't make much of a difference, an the boost doesn't really build...

Either way I'll go with Lund's advice and get a new upper aux idler and a gates belt.

Metco and JLT sell the idlers by themselves, without the bracket

But I need the one with the upper aux bracket. I have a 90mm one already in the stock location but that apparently isn't good enough

Got the rest of the exhaust installed today. After that I took the car out for a couple datalog sessions. Pulls a little harder now but I'm only seeing up to 1.5 psi of boost. I can actually hear the blower now, but obviously there is still something not quite right.

The aux idler and belt should arrive soon.

Man this is frustrating... I hope you get it figured out soon.. Can you get a video of the car accelerating /bogging down? Does it sputter and backfire when you get on the gas?

I'll try and get a video when I get time next week.

Since I now have mufflers on the car I can feel vibrations and noises that need to be addressed. I do have a concerning vibration at the rear of the vehicle like the DS is not angled properly.

More importantly Lund took a look at my datalogs.

He said that when I get really into the throttle the injectors drop down to 33psi and then go up there may be something up with the FRP sensor or the vacuum lines. It stays at 40 during normal driving and so that is strange it dives down and then shoots up. I only saw 1.5psi yesterday at the most on my sensor.

Edit:

Jon got back to me and has sent me a new tune. He doesn't believe what I'm experiencing is a tune issue (which leaves me worried).

He has adjusted my tune to make it go richer quicker and adjusted the timing.
