So what would the compression be with stock chamber heads?

Sold my mustang in the fall so no use for this motor anymore.

its a built and blueprinted motor from Coast High Performance. I have blue print sheets.

This is a 4.6L block that is running

-Forged 8 Bolt Kellogs Crank
-Forged H Beam 6 inch rods.
-Forged 3V dished pistons.
-ARP 8740 hardware.

Which makes it a 5.1L stroker good to handle over 800HP

This block new from CHP is $5000. Motor still has original cross hatching but has some scoring on sidewalls, nothing major and will be fine with a hone and fresh set of rings.

Montreal Qc,
What caused the scoring?
Are all the cylinders scored the same?
Is that the worse one?
Why was it not honed and re-installed in the car?
I'm interrested but I'm trying to determine what happened and if it will happen again.

I'm also interested. What is the compression with stock heads? Are the pistons custom?

With a 6" rod that would require a custom piston right? The short compression height( which looks to be 1.048) would put the oil ring in the pin area also correct? Are the pins on the pistons .927( also as it looks from the build sheet). Just trying to get All this info in case the engine was set loose the first time around and will require a bore now to clean up requiring new pistons. Do you know what the ptb was set to?

I am sorry guys as i am very knowledgeable about the motor. All i know is it was actually running and driving in a car. the owner passed away and his buddy got all his car and parts left in his will. the buddy couldn't stand to look at the car so he decided to part it out. when he parted it out he seen the scoring and sold the motor to me.

The scoring in not deep, the picture i show is about how all the cylinder look. would it require a rebore i don't think, but if you were doing it it wouldn't be a bad idea to re-bore and do fresh pistons. i cant feel anything with my fingernails on the scoring.

Also the rods are whatever length it says on the build sheet, not sure about ptb or custom rod lengths i just remember the guy saying something about 6 inch chevy rods when i called CHP and asked.

I have a serious buyer from Washington but just firming things up, if it falls through i will go in order of response on this thread or PM time.

Thanks
Dustin
