Yeah it's handy as heck to have. I'm just trying to get this place put together so I can use it more easily. Just finding a place for everything and cleaning the bathrooms, etc...

New garbage disposal. Replaced the one that's been there for 8 years. Started to leak from inside due to corrosion and it was a PITA! Disposal key wouldn't break it loose, screwdriver and hammer wouldn't work either. I literately beat the sink into a new position with the hammer and it wouldn't budge. Next step was to get mad,go to the garage, grab a pickle fork and a 5lb hammer and destroy that bitch. About 5 whacks with the pickle fork and 5lb hammer and I won. The frustration was worth not having to pay a plumber a butt load to do a simple job.

If you guys ever run across this issue with a disposal just get a heavier hammer........or a hacksaw.

Those piece of shit Badger brand disposals from Home Depot are not worth the time it takes to install them. My first one rusted out and leaked into the cabinet below the sink after 8-9 years and I never use it. A buddy gave me a replacement for free and I installed it as a temporary measure but it got soaked with spray lubricant and I don't use that sink much. It also has a bucket permanently placed underneath it.

LOL,that's exactly what I replaced it with. But it's such a easy job that it's not worth getting an expensive one. The old one lasted 8 years and we wont be here for another 8 so I can deal with that turd for now.

Finally got closet doors up in spare rooms. No idea what happened to original doors. But when I bought the house ALL the closet doors were missing. Wtf.

Also replaced the mailbox. The old one was crooked and the door was broken. Looks better now and I'm sure the mailman is happy not to deal with the old one anymore.

Pulled off the closet doors in my house because they were ugly, didn't hang straight and they didn't do anything but get in the way. I'm the practical type and don't have any need or desire to close the closet door to hide my hanging clothes at night only to have to open it the next morning. One side blocked my bedside night stand when open and the other side created a squeeze point when walking to or from my bed. After 2 years of fighting my way around those stupid bi-fold doors getting in the way I just eliminated them when I painted and put down new carpet.

Weekend projects:

Finished anchoring shelves in my office and adding some other shelving over my desk. Great to have a functional home office for a change.

Got my granddaughter's room all finished:

And set up the office in my shop as a leather working shop. I apprenticed with a saddle maker years ago and just pulled out my tools awhile back and fell in love with it again.

Tooling station

Cutting area

All that and I spent a lot of time getting my shop put together but didn't take any pics of a clean bathroom with running water. Lol

Signed the contract and picked out the design options on our new house today. Should be completed in December or January. Should be...

Ran an air line to the other bay of my shop and added a regulator and air hose so that I'll have air in both bays.

Jaye,
If you actually plan on using that air line instead of just having it there for looks then hang it with bigger loops in the hose. As tight as you have it wrapped you'll spend more time wrapping and unwrapping it than using it. Also the smaller loops mean more twists.

In my garage I have the air line on a 50' retractable spool and in my shop I have the hose hanging from a hook under the bench like yours. But with mine I have the loops hanging almost to the floor so I can pull off what I need with 2-3 loops. But you'll figure that out the first time you use it.

It's not there for looks. That's just how tight the new hose was wound coming out of the box. I just hooked on the quick disconnects and hung it. First time it's used it'll be unwound all the way and put back in much bigger loops. That's just a 25' hose for use if the main line is being used. I've got a 50' hose on a spool for everyday use.

Today I cleaned out the condo, vacuumed the whole place, swept the balcony floor, removed the last of the boxes that were in there, and took away the Shop Vac.

Only things left are a couple cleaning supplies/rags, a vacuum in case I have to vacuum again before Tuesday, and a table that I will be dismantling on Sunday and throwing away.

On Sunday my GF and I are planning on going to do the final cleaning.

On Tuesday I'm due to sign the papers, selling it.

Bittersweet ending. It's finally done, my creation, my hard work, my vision. Exactly the way I wanted it.
And I'm not gonna live there to enjoy it.

As it currently sits:

Kitchen (everything is brand new and all drawers/doors are soft-close):
