Very interested to hear what you think! Having issues with the BF bracket like you did I don't want to waste money on this if it isn't going to fix the issue. :beerdrink:

See my latest post over in the MGW sub forum. George's latest creation is fantastic!

Cam, the BF brackets help a lot. They do a great job at firming up the shifting and preventing lockout due to flex in the mounts. But they are not a perfect solution for someone who wants to retain a stock level of comfort.

Blowfish should be coming out with a bushing kit for the rear of the bracket pretty soon from what I have heard.

I haven't read up on it much, but have the BF brackets lived up to the hype or no?

Cam, for most people yes... The previous owner of my car modified it and I think he may have slightly damaged the transmission which is causing my "marbles" in the shift handle. The rattling in the shift knob is my ONLY complaint... My shifts are dead on, repeatable at high rpm's and I have not been locked out of 3rd gear since getting used to the new bracket.

If you are interested I will most likely be selling mine shortly as I will be moving to the MGW setup. Just waiting to see if George will do any discounting for people removing competitive solutions (in my case BF bracket and a Steeda shifter). The bracket would be much less than new of course.

Gentlemen:

Two things to report:

** Ford Racing GT500 Touring mufflers (M-5230-MSVTCA) arrived!

** MGW Gen3 shifter was delivered last Friday.

Just need some warmer and drier weather to get these parts installed. Pretty stoked.

Chris

Installed the Touring mufflers today. Very nice tone: deep and smooth. Pretty quiet, too. I am not sure if there is a hint of drone at 2000 RPM but there seems to be a little "boominess" at that engine speed. Let's give them some miles to break in.

No time to get the shifter installed. :(

Not much. Just changed oil and washed it. However, it's nice having the right tools. The Rage Powersport assist ramps made getting the car on stands easy again (these guys: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rrr-6009/overview/) and the New Pig Form a Funnel (this guy: http://www.newpig.com/pig/US/pig-fo...AXf6ScRdix1peUqNokWKoXsKhoVZOi_My4aAiaM8P8HAQ) made changing the oil filter easy-peasy. It was nice not using a big, messy wad of shop towels & worrying about soaking the EPAS harness in oil.

While doing some 60mph rolling burnouts (kinda on purpose....) last night, I managed to pop an intercooler pipe loose :(

Just need to stop being lazy today and get to work on it

Bad 281, you should do a thread on that diy rear seat delete. I'd love to do something like that.

Also, what model corbeaus are you running?

If I wasn't so impatient I would do a thread on it. Unfortunately, I tend to speed through my projects so I don't take any pictures. I can gladly provide you the template I found as well as walk you through the build process if you'd like. I don't mind at all.

The Corbeaus are both FX1 Pros. Saved a ton of weight with them and the rear seat delete. They feel great too.
