I would go through Bruce and Bobby's Boss block build threads a lot of good info and in there for this kind of stuff.

I have been looking at Bobby(darkhorse) and Bruce's threads A LOT in the last couple days. Does Bobby(S&H) have a thread somewhere too?

From Bruces build, it looks like the Main bolts that come with the boss Block don't use the windage tray?

If the mains that come with the boss block don't allow for the windage tray, then how important do you think it is? Does the main bolt kit that comes with the block include the stand off for the oil pickup tube?

It's designed for a half tray. If you read my thread you will find that my solution was to use the 2013 oil pan gasket which is also a windage tray and scraper.

The single bolt is for the pickup iirc. I'm sure I have a picture of it somewhere in the thread prior to installing the oil pan. The best deal was the GT500 oil pan kit. Comes with the aluminum pan, pickup, gasket/scraper, and fasteners for the pan.

What about the rear plate? It's the same as any other mod motor. I can't remember which model I used. A half windage tray is what was used on some mod motors. It only fits over half of the crank. I've had Mach motors that came with a half tray.

Rear engine plate/seal carrier is the same on all the 4.6 Modulars.

As for the mains and windage tray question? Do what Bruce did and use the later gasket/tray assembly, makes your life a lot simpler.

I would have to drill and tap the new pan then for my oil return line.

Does the main bolt kit that comes with the block include the stand off for the oil pickup tube?

Bruce, reading back through your thread again it looks as though the GT500 pan kit may be my best bet here. Do you think that the pan thickness is adequate enough to be drilled and tapped for an oil drain back?
