I have QTP (quick time performance) exhaust cut off up stream of the H pipe.You need a bit of room to weld them in & make sure you roll the Y up as high as you can.I will post some pics for you Tues night when i put my car on my hoist at home.

i used pypes m80s. cleanest and cleapest way i found. i like the sound better over magnaflow also. i put them right off my o/r x pipe and u dont really need hagers.

Is the exhaust significantly louder with these or is it strictly based on the muffler used?

i think it depends on the muffler and the direction u point them to. mine is decent loud and sound nice when i step on it. but these did quite my car a lot comaring when i was running axleback deletes and the o/r x pipe. funny thing is u can see troug them

I used to have the RaceReady cutouts from Jeg's. They started to leak after a year or so, and last year I just took them off and put cover plates on the holes. I'd like to have them again someday, but I'm not ready to shell out $400 for them.

Those pypes M80's are an interesting idea. I weighed my exhaust with JBA axle backs and each were 26lbs. So it seems to be a pretty easy way to drop 40lbs or so. But I would be more comfortable with some hangers back there to keep everything where its suppose to be.

I have an electric cut out right after the down pipe. The trick is that you have to seal the motor with silicon or rubber or they will crap out under a year no matter what brand you go with.

+1... the gate valve no longer closed all the way on mine. There was a little gap, which was no good.

yep that's what im having done this week ( hopefully ) if i ever get time to go during business hours , im also getting the bolts welded to the flange so they cant get lost and will be easier to remove and replace blank-off plate ...thanks chad lol

That is the same kind of cover plate I have on mine now. Here is what they looked like when the e-cutouts were on there.

Weld the bolts

Weld the bolts to where all you have to do is keep track of the screws and plates

The electric cut-out motor you need to seal that completely or it will crap out in the long run. Leaking issue well thats probably because it is not sealing completely or the motor doesn't have the power to seal it completely.
