Bit of an issue with my car today. I was driving to an appointment when all of a sudden, each shift became harder to the point where I could only use certain gears. Eventually the clutch pedal would hit the floor on every shift and I was unable to shift or start up the car anymore. Car got towed and there was a nice puddle on the ground, so maybe the clutch line blew? Also, the headlights/taillights began to randomly come on and off so maybe a sensor or the ECU is confused as well? Car has about 66k miles on it.

Sounds like the slave or the clutch line.

Sounds like your slave cylinder went out or clutch line is damaged. I would take a look through the inspection hole in the bell housing and see what you can find. Either way, looks like it is time for a new clutch/slave cylinder.

Car was towed to the dealer, but is this something that will cost over a grand?

Taking your car to the dealership for a repair is like going to the emergency room when you're sick. Out of all your possible available options to resolve the issue, you chose the absolute most expensive one. And there's no guarantee they will do a better job.

Anddddddddddddddd, the damage is done. Clutch is shot, slave cylinder busted which caused the issue and the flywheel needs to be surfaced. Dealer mentioned the cost including labor would be $2300 so I asked him what they were charging me for the clutch. The replacement was almost $900 so I went and ordered a Exedy Mach 400 instead and saved a couple hundred dollars.

It's already almost 10 model years old, how much longer can it possibly hang on?

My06GT has 130k miles now and I grenaded two slave cylinders before the clutch finally went at 120k miles. My slave cylinders lasted about 45k miles each. Did you actually see the clutch after they removed the transmission to assess the damage?

FYI - When I finally blew my clutch out at 120k miles it came out in about 10 pieces and the slave was actually OK. But I replaced it anyway that time. Maybe a broken slave could fry a clutch, maybe it couldn't. Just saying. I'm pretty sure the cause of blowing my clutch was forcing it into 3rd at 6500 rpms around 70mph; many times over the course of 120k miles, lol. Stupid remote shifter.

Also, when I broke all of my slave cylinders' on my car, it had the same symptoms your car did. Stuck on the side of the road, a puddle under the car, can't start or shift, or put into gear. Towed home, pulled transmission, slave was gone, but clutch was still good.
