How can i remove the gas from the tank in the car without removing the fuel pump hat?
Don't tell me to drive it!
I removed the fill pipe at the neck of the tank, but something is there to prevent siphoning it out!

If you have aftermarket rail you may be able to connect a fitting and just do it there.

I removed my pressure sending unit, screwed in a 1/8" nipple & slipped some 3/8" rubber fuel hose over it,turned on the key & only a little squirt came out then it stopped, this is weird. There must be a sensor or something telling the pcm to stop fuel flow?? I have GT 500 twin pumps & 2 driver modules?

The only way I have done it is to use a "T" hose. I pop off the line at the fuel rail, then insert the "T" hose, and drop the open end into a jug. Then I start the car and let it idle until the tank is empty.

If you are trying to drain it at the filter you can turn the key on, unplug one FPDM and jumper pin 5 and pin 4 to run the pump full time. It should be the white wire and the pink wire with the black tracer. Another method is you can have your tune adjusted to run the pumps with just the key on and just use that tune for this purpose.

I was on the correct path last night,i removed my fuel pressure sending unit & just turned the key on hoping it would pump out.
So today i went back removed the sending unit & connected my 1/8" nipple with some hose started the car & the gas flowed, filled 5 gallon in 10 minutes.
Thanks Don,house progress looks good, shingles soon?

PS: I found out that the fuel pumps will not run after 3 seconds without a tach signal, the pcm locks them out FYI.

This is what I have a stock tune with the fuel punps on full time . You just turn the key on and the fuel flows from the end of a fuel rail.

Bringing this one back from the dead zone (we have that ability here in The ShadowLands) and need some clarification on this one, Don. When you say "the line at the fuel rail" do you mean the crossover?

I've got 1/2 a tank of fuel that's been in there since March of '09 and it has to go. All I have is a single Ford GT pump in the tank and stock lines/rails.

It is on the fuel reg, there is an 1/8" NPT tapping there,so some vinyl tubing & a 1/8"x 2" nipple & you are good to go.The car must be running in order for it to pump it out of that connection. If need be i can take a pic for you.

I have a connector that I snap into my stock fuel rail with an inline valve so pressure can be made at start up. I put it in, close the valve and start the car. Then I put the other in into a jug and let the car run until it dies or is almost dead.

I could snap a photo if you guys want so you see what I'm talking about. Very easy.

This is exactly what I had and used when the car was a daily driver and I used to run pump and race gas at different times. Made it myself - quick and easy - I'll see if I can find a pic - used to drain gas at the track all the time when I was driving the car to the track. (back when I was on the stock ECU)

The arrow is pointing to where I disconnect the line and insert the "T" (sorry for the old pic, but its the best I could find).

any decent tuner can write a file that will keep the pumps on with key on. I had one with my returnless sytem. Disconnect fuel line ( or use your T) and turn key on and it stays on and pumps the fuel out without STARTING the car.

Yeah....have you ever tried to get that through the thick skull of your tuner who happens to be the first guy who broke the nine second barrier with the new 5.0 cars and who happens to be a hyperactive A.D.D. case?

"Richard....I need the pumps to stay running while the key is in the ON position so I can drain the tank."

"Aaaawww fuck that man....just run C16 all the time."
