Closing on our first house on Monday. Need to shop for a riding mower to maintain our 2.7 acres! Open to any advice or recommendations!

It's been a long and trying process, but I'm dreaming thrilled. For any future homeowners, we went through Costco for our mortgage and it's been awesome. Went with First Choice Loan Services and they've been amazing to work with.

I've got a Scag turf tiger and it mows like a champ.

I'm sure it does, but that's a little out of my price range! I'm looking for something likely used/on Craigslist in the $400-600 range. Not opposed to something older either.

You might have some luck with one of the local dealers, they often have trade-ins for a decent price.

Final walk through is on Sunday, realtor is having a follow up inspection done, and closing is set for Monday afternoon. A week from Saturday we should have movers coming out to get us moved over. Hallelujah!

Congrats Ryan! I'm still in a holding pattern on my closing. We had everything done by Tuesday and the title company had the survey done Wednesday morning. Fannie Mae requires a 48 hour resting period from the time everything is completed until closing, but it's Friday and I still have no info on when I'm closing.

This morning I went to Lowe's and bought a couple gallons of paint. I am doing some touchup here at my current place and decided I would go ahead and buy enough to paint a couple rooms in the new place because I like the color. Holy crap they are getting $45 per gallon for paint now!

For their top of the line paint, yes.

You could save 5 percent if you had the Lowe's credit card ;)

Yeah man paint is as high as giraffe pussy. We painted the master bed/bath last year and the middle of the road stuff was $30+/gal.

Gutted the master bathroom. Still need to get the tub out and take up the tile floor. I've only owned the house since yesterday afternoon.
