I also picked up a couple packs of Juicy Fruit gum and spent a half hour going around stuffing pieces down into the mole tunnels around the house and driveway. I'll find out if this home remedy works.

what remedy is this?

Supposed to kill moles. I guess they choke on the gum or something. I've heard it from multiple sources for a couple of years so I'm hoping there's something to it.

Yes, I've spent years throwing tons of pesticides on my yard here to kill the grubs but I've never gotten rid of the moles. In order to kill grubs I think you would need to sterilize the soil which would kill all beneficial organisms as well, and then you would have nothing but a sand box. Cheaper and easier to pave over it.

Sand box = volleyball court = hot bitches in your lawn.

Sounds like a winner to me!

Pics of what I've been doing around the pool deck. Remember, it's not even my house yet so I'm really not supposed to even be on the property. But it doesn't cost anything and it needs to be done in order to fix the screen enclosure and keep the dirt off the pool deck.

An hour ago my agent was texting me about signing another extension. Then 15 minutes later he texts me and says we are closing today. I still don't have a confirmation on the time but I sure the hell hope it goes down today.

Just got another text from my agent. At 1:52 he tells me we are closing at 2:45, less than an hour from now.

Woo hoo been following your search from the first thread, great to hear it finally worked out and your closing. How long till you list the other place for sale and move into this?

Is it done yet!

Yup, just finished moving in before grabbing a bite for dinner.

No, seriously. This afternoon I went over with a hammer, pry bar and 4" putty knife and began stripping down the walls for drywall repairs. In a couple of the bedrooms the paint is semi gloss and is peeling off in big sheets, separating from the drywall easily. I don't want it to peel off later so I'm just scraping off all the old paint with the 4" putty knife. I also removed about 7-8 doors and door frames as well as all the baseboard in the master bedroom. My drywall guy is in the middle of a big project so right now all I can do is try to get everything ready for him this weekend.

By Monday I should have the bathroom and kitchen gutted for him as well as prepping the 4 bedrooms. Every interior door jamb is cracked and broken so all the interior doors will be replaced with pre-hung doors. I also have entry doors to replace the front, back and kitchen entry doors.

I also need to replace the attic access ladder before the electrician comes next week. Pics to come tomorrow, it's too dark now.
