Drove it for the first time in almost a month, got gas, and realized how bad it needs a wash and wax. Got some new Jax Wax products I need to crack open...I did get this made courtesy of Flossy shift knobs a couple weeks ago and I love it! Today was my first drive with it. I used the shift boot retainer/jam nut from my outgoing Roush shift knob. It's called the Snowball, shorty, heavyweight. Snowball is obvious, Shorty bc it's countersunk about a .5in for reverse lockout, or in my case, I wanted to reduce height, and heavyweight due to its 500 grams in weight. They can pretty much put any image you want on it. Side note, the pics make the knob look oversized but it's not.

Trans flush, oil change, new fuel filter, new belt, clean CAI filter. Was very apprehensive about all the work today since it's been over 2 years since I've been able to work on the car, but everything went great and exactly as it should (which never happens to me). Being able to do it in my own garage is amazing.

Now if I could only find the damn strut mounts I bought 2 years ago. At least I haven't moved 3 times since I bought them or something like that. Oh. Wait. Yes I have.

Clutch change (Exedy Stage 2), which was hell to do, but it was definitely time at 91K miles.

Pulled the Ford Racing gauge pod out, again, and put the screw in the visor that I lost last time. Took a half hour to find the correct screw at Lowes.

Couldn't get the screws in tight with it mounted so had to undo it from the dash. The 2 screws holding it in place are a bitch to get to, and then I couldn't remember what size they were so almost an hour trying to get to them (after getting one to come out discovered the socket I was using was just a little off so the second one was easier). Since it was open I checked the oil pressure gauge to make sure nothing was loose there causing it to read funny (like 100 psi at idle after the car sits for a bit) - I'm starting to think that something might be screwed up with the gauge itself. And checked the wiring for the light on my boost/vacuum - discovered that the power wire had come loose so now that lights up once again! And on the plus side the pod is mounted much more secure than last time and doesn't shake; I think that I didn't get it all the way on the back post last time.

Waiting on the new waste gate from Hellion. I sure hope that is the problem with the overboosting. Everything is connected properly, but for some reason the 5 lb spring hits 10 and climbs fast. When I opened the waste gate to check it for Hellion couldn't budge it at all. Seemed to be jammed up so John Urist is sending a new waste gate.

Just did a 7200rpm in 3rd gear data log for Jon Lund for maybe my last tune, at least till it gets on the dyno. I'm waiting to put the ginger bread stuff back on until the dyno run.

I also changed grills to a modified GT/CS/Cobra Jet last week. Looks even better then the Saleen grill. I did open up the back adapter grill. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow.

Jim,

Good luck on the Hellion issue ...

Put the ET streets on. I shifted to 3rd and it took only about 2 tenths of a second - good enough. I may install new blocker rings when I have the driveline out this winter anyway.
