TB and intake worth it or not?

I'm going to put cams in and already have CAI and LTH with OR H. Is it worth it to spend the $ on a FRPP intake and throttle body? $1k+ is a fair amount of money, just not sure it's worth it.

This was with FRPP intake, throttle body, stage 1 heads, hotrod cams and shorty headers. The bottom definitely feels softer, but it really pulled hard above 4,000 rpm.

Take a real good look at those torque values down low and think about there you spend 99.9999% of your driving time...

and that is exactly why I asked the question. I am willing to have a trade off, I want some more push, just don't want to give up a ton else where. Unless I put a blower on this thing I realize if I gain in one area I will lose some somewhere else (lower rpms). I just don't want to push the power band so far out that I rarely use it. Right now the thing just feels like it is losing steam after 4500 and that chart confirms that. I guess I can do it in stages and see how it feels to me. I can always add the intake and or TB later.

My NA 2005 is an 11 sec car, and I have all the intake and exhaust bolt-ons, tune, comp cams. Over the course of the past year, I have been removing the drag suspension, replacing the interior to get it back in the street. Yesterday I took it out for a drive in a rare burst of 50 degree weather.

The low end is tricky, but after a few pull outs from stop signs and a modest amount of gas, street driving the 5 speed was a breeze. I intend to open track the car as well as street drive so it's fine for me. That said, here's the kicker. I had the same exact setup intake through exhaust MINUS the cams and TB on my 2007 GT/CS, and that car rocked the street and ran 12.4s. The FRPP intake manifold apparently is a nice compromise...

Hit send too quickly. I would get the intake, tune appropriately and test, then consider anything else. At this point, ported heads are the next step up to really push fuel and air. Adding the TB for me really let me tweak those 6000+ rpm runs down the track...

I have both on my 2009 Bullitt that I put on after the FRPP stage 2 heads. Keep your money. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't. Performance improvements versus money invested is poor at best.

Even with the heads???? I'm frankly surprised. Do you have a HP/torque curve you can post? I'm curious where the power comes on...

100% bone stock. Ford put the power where 99% of Joe Blo's could use it.

Too bad they don't depict what happens between 600 rpm - 2225 rpm.
That would be a real eye opener.

I put the FRPP intake and throttle body on my NA motor that was making 385/360 hp/tq to the wheels and it cost me hp/tq thru the entire rpm range until the motor got to 6800 rpm, where it only matched the previous hp number.I believe it is a velocity thing, take the delete plated off and call it a day.

Thanks for all the input, looks like I will save my $ and just put cams in it. Any thoughts on cams that don't need springs? Hot rods are used a lot of the time, but Brenspeed claims great things from his, Anderson Ford does too and they are kind of local to me. I really don't want phase limiters unless I need to.
