Trying to figure out if I should go UPR or BMR for the suspension on my 14 GT?

Both should work about the same since most of the UPR S197 stuff is copied from BMR. I've seen the invoice records, the owner of UPR is one of BMR's best customers. He buys one of everything!

Except the UPR stuff is all made in China and all BMR stuff is made in Florida with American steel.

I've had UPR setup before and was happy with it. Just didn't know if there was a big difference between the two as to why the price difference.

BMR no doubt between the two. Good people to deal with there at BMR as well. Dylan (see I got it right this time Dylan) and Kelly who does the newer 550 stuff i think, are both great tech guys to work with. UPR? Someone at NMRA told me it stands for Unauthorized Product Reproduction. I had to laugh.

BTW - I run all BMR suspension. My only rub with them is that they don't offer a 1" drop front drag spring for 11-14 Mustangs. 1.5 front end drop with the TVS unit on it will drag in and out of my driveway.

Have not tried UPR suspension components. Very happy with the BMR ones I have. Always have had excellent support from Dylan and Kelly.

UPR = Unethically Produced Reproductions.

BMR = Awesome parts.

Your choice.

So much hate from people who probably have never run UPR stuff on their car. Either will work.

That's what the guy called them. :loudlol:

Saw their workmanship on display at three different NMRA events. It just isn't there. Guess they are okay for interior dress up stuff if your into billet.

BMR. I've started another build (2nd gen F-body) and am only looking at BMR because of my past experiences with them and their parts. They are a bit more expensive but I don't really concern myself with that if I know i'm getting quality parts. And no, I've never run any UPR products. If you can afford them I would stick with BMR.

Thanks for all the support, guys!

Chvyeter, if you want to grab some BMR parts, just let me know and I'll put something together for you!

When you're ready to pull the trigger, give TC a shout. He handles our 1st and 2nd Gen F-body tech. He'll point you in the right direction!

BMR for sure.

Just be sure you ask who the five best rappers of all time are. Think about it.

it's a n00b question......... :yaoface:

Not a noob at all. Just had my old car in storage for years while I was away in the military. Haven't bought any parts in a few years so things can change.

I actually have parts from both manufacturers on my car and have no complaints about either one, I run a UPR K-member since it's chromoly and BMR does not offer one in chromoly (at least they didnt when I bought mine, not sure if they do now), UPR swaybar relo brackets, BMR control arms, relo brackets, etc., Steeda radiator support and Cobra Jet springs, my car is a mutt I guess lol.
