New Meguiars Products.... Amazing!!!

So i used the meguiars ultimate compound and swirl x..... Holy shit it does a good job!!

Made the paint look new. Got rid of a lot of the scratches i had. I recommend these 2!!!

The only thing that sucks is the compound, takes forever. You can only do little sections at a time and i suggest you do it by hand and wipe after a few seconds of letting it sit.

Everything I use now:

1. Meguiars Gold Class Car Wash
2. Meguiars Clay bar
3. Meguiars Ultimate Compound
4. Meguiars Swirl X
5. Meguiars # 7 Polish
6. Meguiars NXT 2.0 wax
7. Meguiars #26 Gloss
8. Meguiars Ultimate Detailer Spray (little bit at a time)

Once you have done all this, some just wax and gloss every so often is all you need to bring the shine back. I would do this whole thing twice a year. Beginning and half way through the season.

As you can see in this picture how shiny the paint is. I was given many comments on how clean it looked and a few people asked if it was the original paint because of clean it was.

Since your on the topic of Meguiars products i have two to throw out there.

Megs #105
Megs #205

Both these compounds are super aggressive compared to most, but are two of the few able to cut into mustang paint. If you have had some practice with a dual action polisher and rotary, grab some orange pads and white pads and use #105 first then followup with #205, this should take all those underlying swirls and what not you can't normally see. (unless sunlight, halogens, sun guns are used.) Secondly that stuff is great for DAs but i honestly recommend using a Rotary with a wool pad and you will simply be amazed at the results. This is kinda of the new go to combo for many auto detailers since it can cut through super hard paint, such as our mustangs.

I do however caution these products especially #105, which has a cut of 12 in terms of the Meguiars cut scale.

By the way SKEETER, are you doing your car by hand or with a Rotary/DA/Orbital? I believe you can use UC with a DA so... that could cut you some time there. Secondly if your going to car shows and got a black car definitely make a move to buy some Pinnacle Souveran wax, it is by far the best wax for a Black colored car. While it is quite pricy compared to NXT it will give you the wetest depth you have ever seen, and it still is cheaper then dodo juice (some) and several vintage. I will put some pics up next time i use it, should be a porshe that i will be putting it on in two weeks.

Its the same exact price at each place, but i got 2 for 1 the other day, now make sure to look for deals especially from autogeek, they had Fuzion on sale also. Now i know that is a lot of cash for a wax but you can get a good 20 - 25 applications of it so... Secondly if you don't want to go that high look for XMT 180, Dodo Juice Blue Velvet, PoorBoy's World Blue Natty Wax, Dodo Juice Purple Haze, or P21S 100% Carnuaba wax. All of those will hands down knock NXT on its feet (except for price and durability) but i think you will find one out that any of them will meet the desired results you want.

Secondly get yourself a rotary asap. With our cars paint and how hard it is i will never again touch it with a DA except for waxing/finish polish/glaze. A DA with a High Cut Pad and 105 still yielded minimal results against swirls. It took 3 seperate passes before it yielded any true results actually. Gotta remember i am trying to remove not fill. If i come across any deals for Rotarys i will shoot you a pm asap, i had picked mine up my latest one for 145 two months ago roughly (dewalt 849.) I plan on buying another flex since i already have the big flex and the dewalt and selling off one of those two, if i do i will give you a shout.

Thanks alot. The buffer has been on my list for awhile. Just $$ ya know but i will get one. Luckily, my paint is ok and using these products does a great job. I will def get one soon though. I will check these waxes out. Thanks again

Not a problem, ill be on the look out for waxes and rotaries for ya, like I said I might have one for sale sometime soon, I already have too many of them (ha). I actually use quite a few megs products now a days including #105 and UC (good for door handles and small areas by hand.) I think once you get a rotary and really give her a good polish you will be simply amazed.

Here is a simple list of the steps/products that seem to do great on our cars, if your looking to push your next detail over the edge. (that wax is only good on red or black though)

1. Pinnacle Body Work Shampoo or Wolfgang Auto Bathe
2. Clay Magic Blue Bar - Meguiars White Clay
3. Meguiars 2000/2500/300 Grit Sanding Paper
4. Meguiars Ultimate Compound
5. Meguiars #105 Ultra Cut
6. Menzerna Super Intensive Polish
7. Menzerna Super Finish (Nano)
8. Meguiars #3 Machine Glaze
9. Pinnacle Souveran

I didnt feel like getting too technical but if you really want me to go indepth and list my exact procedure (gotta be 50 steps) then just give me a holler, thats just simple a quick list of product in order of use that i think give some of the best results, granted you can swap out the glaze/last step polish and wax depending on color but maybe it will be of some use to some one.

Good pick on the Purple Haze, i think you will be very happy and really stunned at the difference.

I probably do that every 3-4 months, maybe 5-6, all depending on the severity of it, i do however wash at least 2-3 times a week, and wax roughly every other week, my carnuaba based waxes might only last a month roughly. so an extra coat never hurts. I am a little excessive compared to most but heh to each his own.

Its better to have some wax than none at all. In most cases that is completely fine, 2-3 months is what a good carnauba will last and a good sealant will last another 3 on top of that. You got the majority of people i deal with beat. Most people don't even know that wax can be used on a car and most are to lazy to even wash it once or twice a year. I would love to have more people like you guys as clients, it be nice to deal with clients who really care about their car and already maintain it to some extent.

I am just excessive like SKEETER is all.

Driving around in other peoples' cars gives me insight into how little most people care about keeping their cars clean (inside and out). Sometimes I feel like I need a shower after driving some.

Plus its driven maybe twice week and never sees rain, so 2-3 months in between I thought I should be safe..I had Jeremy from Meguiar's(he is a pro when it comes to paint) give my car an overhaul last September. He is having an all day hands on seminar for a small group of us members/sponsors for lmmc-ct.com this Sunday. I want to learn about paint, and how to take care of it properly. I cant wait to learn this stuff..
