No offense, but Corsa is way overpriced at $700.00+ for an axle back exhaust despite how well their build quality happens to be.. Same applies to Roush and Borla, as not only is quality a factor, but your also paying for the name and advertising costs as well..

I agree with Corsa being a bit overpriced. But how is a $400 Roush axle-back overpriced? Sure, it's a little more expensive than MBRP, but again, you're getting better quality and less drone.

Steeda also offers really great build quality on all their axle back exhaust systems as well and they're just as well known as Roush, Borla and Corsa, but at a fraction of the cost that also includes a lifetime warranty just as MBRP offers on all their pro series axle back exhaust systems..

I got a rear sway bar from them that took me DAYS to get to fit properly. And their instructions didn't even list the right torque specs. And if you can't get a simple sway bar right, I'm certainly not trusting you with anything else.

Anyhow I recently purchased my Spyder wheels from them just a little over 5 months ago along with my Nitto NT555 G2's and so far I've been really pleased with them as far as workmanship, quality and fit n finish are concerned and have no complaints whatsoever at this point.. So I guess I'll just have to wait and see how well they hold up down the road..

In the meantime, thanks for bringing this to my attention and now it looks as though my choices will be between Borla, MBRP and Roush extremes in axle backs..

Some of Steeda's components, especially the exhausts, are re-badged products of other companies (under an agreement, of course, unlike BBR). Ford Racing does the same with some of their components as well. Not everything is in-house.

I had their CAI (the large version for the Coyote), and it wasn't bad. The plastic tube though was weak at the MAF end. After about a month or two of using the CAI, a very small part of the MAF end of the tube collapsed. Didn't affect much in terms of airflow, so I didn't mess with it. Plus the type of ring (some kind of rubber composite) they have you install around the tube helped close it up. The other issue is they showcase the CAI with a billet/polished housing, and some versions ended up being cast housings. Not a deal breaker for me, but there are people who complained about the aesthetics of what was shown vs. what was shipped.

When I had bought my '12 (used), it had the Steeda Tri-Ax shifter. Apparently these shifters come with two sets of springs for the reverse lockout, a stiff one, and a loose one. Not sure which spring was in mine, but if the transmission got too hot (i.e.: track use), then the spring would become weak, and would shift into reverse instead of 1st without any effort. Not good when you are in a track environment, or even in traffic (though it rarely happened in traffic). I swapped to a Barton after that (would've gone with MGW had I known about them).

Prior to purchasing my Steeda Spyder wheel and tire combo 5 months ago, the last products I purchased from them was my first CAI for my then 2005 GT back in late 2005 and shortly afterwards I purchased one of their underdrive pulleys..

During that period I chose Steeda after doing some extensive research comparing their CAI and UDP with other vendors and in the end based my decision with Steeda for 4 reasons..

1.. They backed their products with a full lifetime warranty..

2.. Excellent quality in materials/fit n finish..

3.. Shared in Ford's technology transfer program..

4.. Did not void Ford factory warranty, as their CAI was factory installed on the 2006 Shelby GTH/Hertz edition and 2007-2008 Shelby GT..

IIRC from my understanding, some of Steeda's components like you mentioned such as their exhaust systems are indeed re-badged products from other companies and if I'm also not mistaken, I believe that Steeda does have an agreement with Borla much in same way as Ford Racing does with them in manufacturing their GT500 and FR500S exhaust components..

At any rate, If Borla is indeed the manufacturer for Steeda's exhaust components ? Then I'll continue to consider Steeda as one of my choices, otherwise it will be between Roush and Borla instead..

Everything I have bought from steeda has been good. Strut mounts, suspension relocation brackets, clutch stuff for my old car, etc... They are good for tech support as well.
