Marketing. You'd be surprised how many people buy into the warranty programs, especially when they buy a car (extended warranty specifically), and they'll rarely get the ROI.

I saw a set locally to me that was on craigslist for $125 off of a foose stallion. Also the last pair I got were from a 07 Shelby GT off of recycler. I paid $75 for them. I had to drive about a half hour to get them but I was more then happy to do so for the price. You got to check regularly and on ebay, CL, the forums and your local classifieds. Like I said I found them relatively easily but I am always looking for parts like these.

I understand where your coming from and agree.. However there's a difference between marketing and actually honoring a products full manufacturer warranty, as they are not one in the same..

Gabe ! Were your Eibach springs sportlines or pro kit ? If yours were sportlines, you more than likely ended up getting a defective set..

I know that Eibach does offer a full lifetime warranty on all their spring kits.. However I also realize that it can be a real PITA waiting around for a replacement while determining what caused them to fail.. So in the meantime, your stuck without a car for possibly weeks or perhaps even months.. Anyhow I can totally understand just how frustrating it is when asking yourself what good is having a warranty if you don't know long your going to have to wait before being able to use your car again..

I know they had a "million-mile warranty" but I was so disgusted with their quality, I didn't pursue it, plus I was afraid they'd only replace the 3 broken springs.
I threw them away and went with BC Racing coilovers, and I loved those.

After seeing those pics, I can certainly understand how disgusted you must had been concerning their quality despite the million mile warranty Gabe..

Anyhow I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to wait around during the claim process either..

People like me ??? First of all, you don't know a damn thing about me, let alone know what in the fuck I'm thinking..

And second, my previous post had nothing to do as to whether or not vendors such as Steeda have top or better quality products over another just because they happen to offer a lifetime warranty..

If anything I was stating nothing more than an opinion while attempting to address your last post by trying to make some damn sense as to why Steeda would ever offer such a warranty in the first place if they were indeed putting their name on somebody else's products in which they had no involvement in the engineering and design process as you've claimed time and time again in your posts..

What I do know is this.. Every part I've ever owned by Steeda was in fact designed and engineered by Steeda to Ford "OEM" specifications which included my first cold air intake and underdrive pulley for my first S197 Mustang..

My reason was once again that Steeda has had a long standing relationship with Ford as a partner in Ford's technology transfer program.. So why in the hell would Ford even consider offering Steeda such a partnership to begin with if they didn't design nor engineer any of their component products ?

Therefore once again, what you claim in your posts about Steeda slapping their name on everyone else's products is complete bullshit, despite the fact that I've also acknowledged in this thread that Steeda does indeed have other companies that do manufacturer some of their other products such as their exhaust and spring components..

But then again, so do most other companies, including Roush.. So are they really any better than anybody else ? Perhaps you should bother taking that into consideration before making accusations towards another company in which more than likely you never even purchased parts from in the first place..

With that said, I also clearly stated in my previous posts that I was considering Steeda as only one of my choices.. I also made it clear that I'm also considering Roush and Borla as my other top choices as well..

But I suppose you either forgot or just didn't bother to read everything that was posted at all

Take a look at the following link for their underdrive harmonic balancer for 2005-2010 Mustang.. It states that it was designed and engineered with Ford in their technology transfer program for all 2005-2010 Mustangs..

Therefore if their partnership with Ford ended in 2002 ? Explain how Steeda developed the part in question for Ford while still under their technology transfer program after 2002 for 2005-2010 Mustangs..

As for Steeda Autosports not having an affiliation with the Ford motor company.. What they mean by that, is they are not a division of the Ford Motor Company
