Well NT01's nd the Indy 500 are out. Tire size issues.
Anyone running NT05's? Wondering if they will do better than the G2's? They have a 295/45/18 which is about the size I need. Would really like to run a 305 but it looks like I'll have to go a bit smaller if I go away from a DR.
That NT05 sounds like your best bet honestly with your size requirements (which dont really make sense when you're not running DRs). They have to be better then the G2s for dry traction, Nitto wouldnt make them if they werent
NT01 are road race tires. Their treadwear is like 140. They'll last about as long as a drag radial.
I have the G2's on my Cobra and hate them. I can usually spin through second and occasionally part way through third. I was looking at the R888R for my next set of tires.

450ish for both. This one hasn't seen the dyno but a buddy with the same set up was 460/450ish.How much hp + tq on your cobra ?
I seen it on the internet, a guy with these continental extreme contact dws06 cut a 1.6x 60' at the drag strip with these which is quite impressive, and there was a video of it. Although I couldn't confirm the exact tires on the rear, they definitely weren't DR's, and I also believe the 1.6 from watching the video. maybe worth looking into.
That's how I'm feeling. I went with a street tire because I wanted something with more life. Now everyone time I stomp on it I wish I had just gone with the 555R's again.Well, went with the regular NT05's. We'll see how it goes. I have a sneaky suspicion that I will be running DR's again though. Just will have to deal with it.
I'd get between 10 and 15k. I didn't hit the strip much. But I still drove it hard. So wheel spin and some burn outs. How many street miles do you get out of those '555Rs?
