I got hold of a TR6060 from a 2013 GT500. It was from a Track Pack car so it also came with the cooling assembly. I searched but could not find too much information on swapping a 2013/2014 TR6060 Track Pack into a 2005-2010 GT. I have most of it figured out but I have a question on the clutch for this setup. I am hoping someone else has done this swap and can share some information or point me in the right direction.

> Based on my search is it true I can keep the flywheel that is currently on the car? It's an Exedy Lightweight Steel - 6 Bolt with less than 1000 miles on it.

> Am I sourcing a GT500 specific clutch or am I sourcing a regular Mustang GT clutch just with a 26 spline setup?

> Can I use the throw-out bearing from my current 2010 GT (it has less than 1000 miles on it) or do I need to buy one specific to the 2013/2014 GT500 model year. Seems to be mixed information depending on what forum/post one reads.

Thanks for the help!

not exactly your swap but close.
i swapped a 13 track pack 6060 into my 08 bullitt mustang. i make 650 rwhp with plans for more so i overbuilt and used a HD RXT clutch. with these clutches the flywheel is like a auto flex plate. nothing in the clutch touches the flywheel it's all integrated into the clutch, so it has a special flywheel. i am not sure in your situation but if i remember correctly the 6060 from 10 and up uses a clutch designed for them. i would suggest a call to the clutch maker you plan to use and ask them what they would recommend.
i used the STOCK 13 ford TO for the 13 trans, i think the 05-10 is the same and a 11 and up is different length, again i am, not sure what you should use in your situation.
honestly if i were doing this swap i would definitely use a new TO bearing, for what they cost compared to second R&R a trans to replace it wouldn't be worth it for me.
also if you don't have one already i would recommend a upgraded clutch line when you have everything apart.

Regular gt slave and clutch just need 26 spline clutch disc(s). The trans doesnt care what flywheel is on the car.

use the correct TO, or slave cylinder, for the year of the trans.
according to Tasca parts listingsthe 10 and down PN is dr3z-7a508. the pn for a 13 is dr3z-7a543-a

Thanks for the info. When you installed the oil cooler for the TR6060 did you reuse the factory lines between the tranny and the cooler or did you make your own? Do you happen to have any pictures of how you mounted the cooler behind the grill? I figure I'll have to fab my own brackets just looking for some mounting ideas.

Thanks,

i do have the OEM cooler and lines but haven't mounted the cooler yet. the OEM cooler is amazingly small with pretty long brackets on it. i have to dig it out of storage for a pic.
the clips that hold the lines into the trans fittings were missing, they are discontinued and you can no longer buy them from ford.
so for now i just bought AN fittings and looped then together for now. *** note the threads in the trans are AN threads not pipe threads.
i have a complete BMR suspension so installing the OEM parts will probably be complicated. my plan is to eventually install the cooler with the OEM lines from the cooler to the first hard line, flare it for a AN fitting then make the rest out of proper lined hoses and fittings where necessary.
i am boosted and use a 3X HE and i am part of the group buy for the massive 3X HE from DOB. so their will be no room for the trans cooler in the OEM location. my plan for now will be to extend the radiator mounts about 1" to move the radiator back towards the motor then mount the trans cooler and PS cooler, with my current HE and fans i couldn't fit the OEM one in so a put a small radiator in it's place above the HE, between the A/C condense and the radiator
