Sorry Ron . Just for my info , if 1 bank is a tooth off either direction then that side will have alot lower comp. than the other. Correct ?Definitely sounds like you are off a tooth. Glad you are getting this beast figured out. Hell, you should be a modular expert after all this! LOL

Reason I asked was becouse of the big psi gain I had after the last build and the hp stayed the same with more psi and the same timming as before and the two banks are very different on the dual WB on the dyno. Bank 1 is leaner then bank 2 on the dyno. Something to ck out this weekend. I was going to pull the front cover and inspect the timming gears and all is why I asked.I would assume so
I dont know mike. I jsut dont know. Theres no reason to move the cam or chains as they are timed properly. Only 1 lobe of the cam was damaged so that cant cause 4 cylinders to have less compression than the other 4. The entire motor needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. Obviously I do not have the experience or the money to do this. Parting out will lose money for sure, but will nbet me more than if i tried to sell the car in its current state. Well see what happens in the next few days
the cams arent interchangable as one is longer than the other. they are side specific due to the chain guides and tensioners and such. I would need a new set of cams. Stock cams would work but i dont have those either
I am sure somebody here would lend you a stock set to try listen that leak down is telling us your Pistons and ring seal is fine your valves and valve job is fine and head gasket is fine so it can only be that CAM or the Chamber size C.C IS way off from 1 head to the other or a thicker head gasket on 1 side of the engine or somebody machined the deck more on 1 side of the block IF it was me I would be going with that cam swap!!!!! Its just your time Ron drink some beers with friends in your garage and do it.
mine was down for a year, it sucked, was exhausting mentally and financially, and fought us every step of the way, but in the end the first drive she ran right was worth every last drop.
