I store my car for the winter. How do you ensure no mice invade?

I store mine for a year or more at a time and never had an issue in my storage unit. Is this in luck a barn? For mice plug the exhaust and try and elevate the wheels, windows and doors shut

Dryer sheets, lots of them placed in the interior and under the hood. I go as far as to stuff them in all of the vents and the trunk as well.

Side note, always a good idea to get a battery tender if you have not already.

First thing is to make sure your storage area does not have any mice. I've only had a couple in 20 years in my garage, never had one get in my car yet. I put out 4 traps with peanut butter, have never put anything in my cars. I have nailed a couple birds though, they like peanut butter too!

I had rats eat some of the wiring on my 2011 Fusion. In went dryer sheets every where...ditto with mustang. Zero problems since. Sheets changed out once or twice per year. Friends next door neighbour has loads of rats. The new cat killed 28 of em. That's where my rat eating wiring problem came from.... blocks away.

Been storing motorcycles & cars f/ years during winter hiatus...my regime is:

1. Plug any/all holes (e.g. exhaust, inlets/outlets) w/ tin foil balls.
2. Dryer sheets under hood, in trunk & all over interior.
3. Lay perimeter of these rodent repellent packs around car.

I have yest to see any sign of pests in my garage.

I have been using dryer sheets for years.

Couple years ago ran across this - apparently Honda has rodent issues

Been using it since...no problems wasn't expensive

Put bait out and kill them before they get to your car. I put it all over my garage for the stang and in my car trailer for my Imperial. Put it behind any cabinets and tool boxes.

Vineagar will do the job as well. We live in 8 acres of trees and we had an issue with ground squirrels digging underneath our sidewalks. Squirt some vinegar around. Issue resolved.
