I am adding a SC to my GT and I will need a tune. Who have others worked with and had good results. I would prefer to be able to pull data logs and be able to refine the tune. Thanks

I did their Roush 427r upgrade package on my 2010 Roush in 2013, never an issue with it in almost 30,000 miles. Great guys to work with.

thanks for moving it to the correct forum, maybe that's why I couldn't find anything when I was trying the search. Thanks for the replys, I will look into them.

Lito all the way. Tuned my 2006 GT DOB upgraded supercharged engine in 3 iterations. Runs great. He explains the entire setup and has always been very responsive (at least in my case).

Of course you'll need an AFR gauge. There are a few good ones on the market. I chose an AEM-4900 that incorporates both AFR and Boost functions in one gauge. A bit expensive though at around $300 retail. You record the logs and email them to Lito (Manuel) so you will have the logs by default. If you need pics of the laptop setup and connections I'm sure a few folks here can provide them or I can if you really need it.

I contacted Lito and he gave me a bunch of good info....can't wait for the 2 feet of snow to melt to get out the summer toys.

I feel so unique, as the only less than 100% satisfied Lito customer. I was on revision #7 of my Lito tune, and the car was still stalling out. We couldn't figure out why, and I got frustrated. He was polite about it and refunded my money.

I went with Lasota Racing. Car ran great, and it was nearly perfect right out of the gate with the first tune. They had to make some minor changes at WOT, but that was it.

I have the opposite experience as above. Exactly opposite.

zeitronix makes some banger widebands.

I am looking into widebands now. Does the 4.6 see much gained by adding long tube headers? I plan to do some work on the exhaust and was wondering how far to go, headers would be about the only cost so just wondering if it is worth it.

Longtubes make a more noticeable difference in power with a centrifugal S/C than with a postive displacement blower.

Since the P/D blower is boosting at lower rpms, the boosted air coming in helps push the spent gasses out of the cylinder so the headers do help, but not as much as with a centrifugal. The centrifugal requires cylinder scavenging at low rpms (similar to a N/A engine) for torque production so the longtubes will make a bigger difference on the power band.

In summary, I would consider them a higher priority on a centrifugal setup than a p/d setup as the extra torque is needed with the centri but is much less noticeable with the p/d setup.

If it is a p/d setup, save the money and put it towards upgrading internals first.

this is the wifes daily driver, she wanted a convertible and I can't stand having a car so powerless...and it's an automatic. I plan to remove the cats and I think it has Magna flow cat back which is louder than I prefer but I will try it and see how it is.

If someone gets a Lito tune, they flash the tune into the car and drive it. I was told that the car is driven to datalog in third gear from idle to 6000 @ WOT. Like Dieharder writes, Lito uses the datalog along with the addition of a wideband o2 to fine tune. Does JDM do it that way? Does JDM fine tune after the initial tune is sent? Also, does JDM leave all of the user option open such as gear, tire size, timing, etc?
Thanks

Generally, any remote tuning will include WOT pulls. I do 2nd gear. With my gearing, 3rd would get me a felony speeding ticket. You would generally start with a "base line" tune that the tuner supplies.

I can't answer that completely, you would need to call them to find out, but I would assume yes. My tune was correct first one I received. I didn't have to datalog and send them any info. I purchased their 2010 Roush 427r upgrade package which included a 2.49 pulley with a larger idler so my serpentine belt stayed the same size, as well as their tune and colder plugs. I also installed the 2011 -2014 Roush SC CAI (with some modifications)

Installed it all and it ran great first try and I liked their shift points, but just to be safe I took it to a local dyno guy to put it on the dyno and make sure all looked good, which it did. My local guy thought their tune was a bit lean (he was known to run his tunes a bit richer).
I sent the dyno results to JDM and they said they thought it looked great, they also disagreed the tune was too lean. JDM initially said this all would give me about 30hp increase which was pretty much right on at 390.73 hp 351.40 tq. at almost 9lbs boost, compared to Roush's stock claim of 435hp. My car is an auto trans so a bit less than a manual trans might have. Could I get a bit more out of it, yes probably, but I'm happy with what it has. That was almost 30,000 miles and 20 track days ago, never an issue with it.
