I have used BMR for my Mustang and my current F-body build and will not entertain the idea of not using them whenever possible. Quality parts and outstanding customer service separates this company from others. Here is a link to the 6 or 7 variations of their front control arms. https://www.bmrsuspension.com/?page=products&vehicleid=1&maincatid=21&catid=61

When I did replaced the front A-arms I also replace the K-member too.

Mine will need replacing shortly on my '06 Saleen and am looking at getting these....

Any other suggestions?

I took the budget route to save on shipping costs by having my stock front control arms refurbished with Energy Suspension urethane bushings and Moog ball joints. They turned out great and sharpened the steering response. Excellent result. :D
That said, BMR make some great stuff and you can't go wrong.

Unless BMR has developed the improved tubular front LCAs they said they were going to, those are strictly drag strip LCAs. I wouldn't use them in street duty, let alone autocross or HPDE.

The Ford Racing / Ford Performance LCAs are still a good option, especially where street driving is concerned.

I replaced mine with the GT500 ones. Replaced them 2 weeks ago and did it myself. No issues whatsoever. Only thing that you will run into is that "impossible bolt" just turn the steering wheel one direction all the way and you can get at it easily. Do the same for the other side.

I tried everything just so I wouldn't have to unbolt the steering rack.
I'm sorry that it didnt work out for you man.
Do you have a set of crowfoot sockets? That has helped me a lot with a few imposible bolts like these in tight places.

Mine would not come out without removing the steering rack boot clamps and sliding the boot itself down the tie rod a few inches, then turning the steering all the way to the lock, then there was just enough space to get the bolt out.

Is this true ? I bought a set here in the UK and i have fitted them about 2 months ago. Are they not for street use ?
I cant find any info on BMR's site, but i did notice that the ones they sell now are different.

I became aware of this problem some years ago, as did BMR, so you probably have the new/improved design. Look closely at the gusseting details to be sure (07 Boss's pictures don't show them clearly enough for these old eyes).

BMR did revise the design, as discussed and pictured in the first post in the following link.

A look at BMR's Current S197 Tubular A-Arm Offering | SVTPerformance.com

As a now-retired structural engineer, I feel that the elimination of stress concentrations was a minimum requirement for unrestricted street duty.

You might be able to cut strip-only driving a little slack due to the brief nature of the "drives" and the resulting smaller number of fatigue cycles . . . unless you're getting air under the front tires and letting the car just slam back down. Though at that point it's on the car owner/driver/crew chief to do far more detailed inspections of suspension components than any ordinary consumer ever would, and probably more than any Ford tech would ever think to do during a normal scheduled maintenance.

Thanks Norm
Mine were bought new unused off eBay.uk but God knows how old they were when I bought them.
Mine look the same design as '07 boss' posted above so likely the old version.
I'm fairly sure mine have the bmr logo in the gusset part as well as the holes in the gusset.
I'm going to crawl under this weekend and have a look.

I had to go out and look after reading this. I daily the car off and on and still race it every once in a while. It looks like I have the newer gusset on the front arm with the smooth transition and no holes or logo.

As Mr Biden has announced the reopening of the borders on Nov 8 it is looking very good for my vacation starting in Miami on Nov 24!
I have decided on the Ford Performance front lower control arms, can I order/buy them from a Ford dealer or do I have to order the kit from somewhere like Rock Auto and have them delivered to my hotel?
