Kicking In... Is the starter motor turning? Or the engine just doesn't even begin to start?
I changed my clutch starter switch a few times. Even put a clutch pedal pad extension on and finally gave up and jumpered the connector with a 10 amp fuse. Never had a problem again.
Now i dont recommend that, but being an old guy . . .

Did you swap out the ECU and such also? The reason why I mention this is that I believe the 05-06 models had a different computer or different code than the 07+. Not sure on the specifics or if it matters but it might.

No other symptoms? Just the starter not cranking?

Have you tried to jump the starter to see if it operates?

Weird, out of left field solution but I once thought my starters wasn’t engaging also. It was but my ring gear would slip on the flywheel. I diagnosed this by spinning the ring gear with a screw driver through the inspection hole. Just a thought.
