OMG Mark, if your not happy with the car, you NEVER will be. I just bought a trailer yesterday, so I will be at Irwindale for sure on the 11th and at the Vegas PSCA race.

We should run because I have the in car camera ready to go---so I could give everyone some up close action......well for a couple seconds anyway.

Simply amazing mark...show and go together isn't always easy and surely isn't cheap. I am thinking imop that your alternator painted in the same blue with the checker theme splashed over the top would be awesome as well as the face plastering 8 sec pass that you should have no problem obtaining.

Paul - big congrats on getting a trailer! Hell, I started looking AFTER you...lol You'd think in this economy there'd be tons out there but not the case. Is it enclosed? Congrats anyway and I'm glad you are going to vegas. I think Ken is going to go as well...:beerchug2: See ya there!

This might be a small question in your amazing thread... How much did the firewall sound blanket weigh?

1 more question why did he tie in the second turbo into the smaller ( 2"? ) pipe instead of routing it into the the reducer or the ( 3"? ) pipe ?

just wandering lol , i know the wastegate is in the way it's set up now but im sure it could have been moved to the inside and down some ...... i know quit-cher-bitchin lol sorry i load and unload a mass quantity of oil/fuel pretty much everyday so it bugged me lol imo the best thing would have been to install it like i mentioned earlier to reduce line pressure to the first turbo ..... but i guess it all depends on the actual flow numbers for them on if it will be a restriction or not ....hahaha blah blah blah get that fucker running and go take some vids dammit

btw im sure you will post more pics up but when you throw the blankets on could you snap some pics or possibly take a overall diamiter ( or width ) measurement im trying to figure out if i could squeeze one on my 67 with the powerhouse

Will do bro. The blankets I got are pretty sick. I thought I was getting ripped off at first cause they were $327 EACH!!!! LOL - No BS - I called the dealer and said give me a part number cause I think you are ripping me off - I was pissed...lol

Turns out they are bad ass and he didn't mark them up at all - they are $327 each from turbonetics but they are the real deal - not the e-bay shit, they are fabric and pretty bad ass and cover the whole turbo. I'll get some pics to you after I put them on...:beerchug2:

Taking quite a bit longer than expected but I am very impressed with this build so far. Unlike the other builds I have had done, this one is by far the most 'top notch' - you won't find a zip tie, butt connector, or mickey mouse job anywhere on this car. Everything is clamped, V-banded, and tucked away nicely. RET has done an outstanding job and my hats off to them...:beerchug2:

Line lock done, and pretty much just putting things back together and the 'to-do' list is getting really short. The last hurdle is the rack and steering column. Hoping to be on the dyno tomorrow...

The man who never gets enough credit - this is the fabricator 'Augie' finishing up the final touches on the rack and steering column - the kid is one of the best welders I have ever seen...:beerchug2:

Dyno tomorrow, isn't that ChevyKiller speak for Monday or Tuesday, damn California time differences, I'll never understand it. Congrats on the build Mark, looking forward for some video of it running down the track.

Zip ties?

ties.jpg

You just happened to forget the quote above the pic when you snatched it... selective amnesia...lol The pic specifically said 'just finishing up' the ties are great for mocking but there isn't any garbage on the finished product...
