Almost everyone is, FRPP doesn't make the sizes everyone likes to run and the don't make deep dish wheels. I'm running replica FR500's on my car.

The only reason I am trying to talk myself OUT of doing it, is that EVERYBODY and their brother has Anthracite Bullitt wheels on their Mustang.

lol, me too..

How about some 2010 wheels? maybe try and look for them off somebody who just ripped them off and put big ass chrome wheels on one..

I do like the new designs... but the width is going to be an issue. I need something that will run a 295+ tire with no issues.

Been looking at the Pentars... pretty cool lookin set of wheels... just dont wanna pull the trigger just yet. Wanna keep the "sleeper"ish theme to the car going on for a while.

There are two factors in how different your wheels are going to be from everyone else; budget and level of effort you're willing to put into research.

Yeah I have been... I really like the Razors, the Shelby TT's (Bullitts) and the Shelby Series 1's.

Can't make my mind up though.

You'd actually be surprised what they say won't fit. Mine "won't" and they'll clear the Brembo's. (test fitted them on a friends 500)

Point being, just do your HW and go with what you like :beerchug2:

Get to know a salesman, go in to a wheel dealer *discount, or whoever* give them the size, bolt pattern, and offset. Look over there shoulder at what pops up. I bet there are a lot of hits not normally there. :) Trust me!

Hey now...I'm as much of a cheap bastard as the next guy!

I bought them used actually, making them quite affordable. In fact I've got a second set in the mail for little more than a set of knock-off Bullitts would cost you. They didn't come off a Mustang..that's where the "homework" part comes in to play; like others have said there's a huge variety of cars that use the 5x4.5"/5x114.3mm bolt pattern.

And Tire Rack's website SUCKS for doing this..figure out what size, offset and style you want and call them to see what they can do for you.

yeah, +1 on doing homework on bolt pattern. I know that's not all of them that fit, but the most popular. I'm still on the hunt for some bad ass ones. I'm torn between Thinkkkers and DusterRTs wheeels... :beerchug2:

ha, I just went to discount tire to look up a set of stock pirelli 17s, just tires were over $600!!! :thud: yeah, i'm keep forum searching. lol. It's a good idea, but the prices can be ridiculous. haha.

yeah, as I told Eagle above, look for wheels that fit the bolt pattern instead of what THE GOVERNMENT WANTS YOU TO BELIEVE ABOUT YOU ONLY BEING ABLE TO PUT CERTAIN WHEELS ON YOUR MUSTANG! IT'S A CONSPIRACY!!!!

lol, okay I'm joking, but once again, still looking for bad ass, lightweight 18s. Pentars also seem to be catching my eye. :thumb:

Pretty much. There isn't much variety in wheels that work with our cars.

Dude, there is a crazy number of rims available for our cars, everyone just picks the same thing. Everytime someone tries something different, people give them shit!
